I ended up paying $16 brought the tag and told them its not only false advertisement but by not honoring the price of the figure without it being listed they could be reported to the better business bureau. Lol Talk stern.. Get your, already overly priced, toy for the right price. Then play by yourself at home.. Alone. Like a nerd. Will do.

It's good to hear you take charge of those TRU employees! I've been bullied at my local TRU. Enough is Enough and it's time for a change!

As a cashier, I hate you. As a consumer, I understand you.
It's an awful medium.

That's a very cool story you have there bro haha. The fact that everyone is a potential consumer only further convince them to raise prices.

Lol honestly I was really calm and sarcastic towards them. The solution went like this. (Employee + Walkie Talkie - awkward stare [Manager - $2] = Comprehension. :-| lol seriously though. It took two minutes.

You just have to find the right employee with the right combination of seniority and understanding. If you never find that person, you can argue until you're blue in the face, they're just going to go by what the computer says.

If we're doing a price matching thing or have any kind of issue where we need a price changed at Walmart we find the hood-est looking girl in there to ring us out...they'll change it before you even give them the whole story just cuz they don't wanna hear it & couldn't care less.

TBH I wouldn't embrass myself for $4 .. Well I definitely didn't embrass myself. I simply said the price ringing up is incorrect. Then when they did their comeback with their heavily knowledgeable argument consisting of 8 hours of training. I again simply said by business regulations it's against the law to advertise a price and not sell it at that. And if you're so fine with giving away $4 ill send you my address and for every series you buy a month ill take the $4. Which in retrospect adds up to about $240 a year.

You know, I keep seeing people having this issue at their TRU...I looked yesterday and I didn't see a SINGLE Elite sticker for anything less than 19.99. They all said "Elite" or "BOPPV Elite" and all were the same price.
Stores prices differently, and glad you got yours at a reasonable price but -- meh.

How is this "embarassing" yourself??? Wow..
Maybe you just have to work at retail for a little bit to understand, but employees go through this numerous times a day. If your item rings up more expensive than advertised. Then the only embarassment is if you DON'T say something and make sure you get it for the right price.

Couldn't put it better myself.

I bought three Lawler figs at three different TRU and every time I explained what the difference was between what they saw on the screen and what the packaging said......NEVER had a problem, got all three for $16.99.
I wasn't rude or negative.....just told them how it was.

I hope they just fix the listing online and in stores so that everybody who tries to buy it doesn't A) get overcharged or B) need the clerk to adjust the price.
