The ending to that round was nuts. That knee was CLOSE as hell! I also have it 29-28 Loughnane.

Interesting decision, but I really can't complain here. It wasn't a bad fight and could have been close, just depending on how you look at it.

what in gods name.... "can i restart the fight?" "yes"
thank god the doctor, i assume, told him to restart this. that wouldve been an outright travesty.
aaaaand then.... it ended up not mattering anyway. that was an awesome ko... he was controlled on the ground for 3 and a half minutes.

this should be a good fight... baczynski on a 6 fight win streak, pierce had a couple boring fights mixed in there... the rocha fight comes to mind... but i had him beating koscheck and hendricks in what are his last two losses, so i dont think pierce is all that far off the top 10 at 170.

Tired of LOOKING at Pierce. Hope he loses by KO.

typical mike pierce round... wrestle with limited transitions and damage. every time i go into a pierce fight, i talk myself back into him... and then he comes out and does the same crap. the belcher ko was the exception, not the rule, obviously. 10-9 pierce err, simpson ko... not belcher.

Why would you throw constant knees and kicks against someone who WANTS to take you down?

10-9, 20-18 pierce... the dirty boxing flurry was easily the most impressive thing hes done in the fight. too bad it was just a flurry.

Why would you throw constant knees and kicks against someone who WANTS to take you down? terrible game plan all around, he clearly wasnt ready for the wrestle in general.

i assume that was baczynskis corner yelling "come on, stand em up"
baczynski was doing well standing early in the round, but pierce had his cage control and takedowns. 30-27 pierce. if any round was going to baczynski, it was that 3rd... he won standing, and did a solid job staying active off his back... id still lean pierce in a jon fitch classic, 30-27.

Now Igor can't complain about it being a "grappling match". I don't think Beltran will go for the takedown.

awesome dirty boxing from joey. i guess he figured out those uppercuts against the cage from what lavar johnson did to him. 10-9 beltran. until that last minute, i was really thinking about a 10-8 round to beltran, til pokrajac stumbled him with that shot at about the minute mark.
i wish fuel didnt cut away from that stare down at the end of the round. crap was about to get interesting.

Beltran doing the good old "I wanna stay in the UFC so I'm gonna clinch" gameplan.

Beltran with some decent strikes at the last minute of that round.
