Are Entrance Greats and Legends line dead? I know Legends are still going out online. I think they should make more that are going into stores aswell! Also, Entrance Greats is dead right? I can think of many more they could do.

They're not really dead. You can still get legends in the form of elite "flashbacks." We get one or two of those per elite wave. We're getting a Honkey Tonk Man in the next elite wave. A few waves ago we got Miss Elizabeth and HBK (in case you didn't know). But the lines themselves are dead.

Both lines died because of poor selection of the legends they decided to make. Slaughter, Terry Funk, Snuka should have been made in better attires, not to mention Kamala was made before other hall of famers, I mean overall its a solid figure but it should have came at a later time.

Yeah we've had this debate a million times on this board, but it never gets old to me. I theorize that the guys for Mattel who made the attire choices were avid Jakks WWE collectors. As such, they wanted figures different from the iconic looks that Jakks already gave them. So we got Slaughter in blue and white, Snuka with boots, Funk in a rancher gimmick, Dusty Rhodes in polka dots, Rick Rude with short hair, etc. It was one bad choice after another. As for Kamala, the figure itself is stellar, and it's arguably the closest representation to real life that you could get in 6-inch figure form. The head scan is scary-good. But it's Kamala. Plus, Mattel waaaaay over-saturated the market with legends figures. They made them specifically for collectors who already collected Jakks and wanted to continue collecting, but they produced enough for all types of collectors, and therefore the line failed. Bad attire and character choices coupled with over-production killed the line. And don't even get us started on the legends two-packs.

Just a heads up for the new guy/op. If you have a Big Lots near you, Legends have been showing up there for $9! I've bought 4 from there in the last month. Also if you have a Marshall's or TJ Maxx, people have been seeing Entrance Greats and Defining Moments for $9.99

Yes the Legends, Defining Moments and Entrance Great lines are dead. You can find alot of these for good prices on ebay however, especially if your a loose collector. MattyCollector released the last batch of Legends this year and still have some available and RSC has Macho King in legends packaging, those are the online only ones.

It seems we might just get them in flashbacks now instead of having a legends line itself.

Well the entrance great line is truly dead, but lets hope for a revival some day. Legends line on the other hand is still somewhat alive due to the addition of flashbacks in the elite line.

Attires were weird/poor on the entrance great line in my opinion too. Same with defining moments. Austin in his hunting gear was destined to be a warmer. I do appreciat ethe effort to differ from the Jakks line but I think they went too far.

Unfortunately, these lines are dead for now with the exception of Legends which were integrated into the regular Elite line as Flashbacks. Elite 19 has Flashback HBK and Miss Elizabeth. Elite 20 will have Flashback Christian to go along with Elite 13 Flashback Edge. Elite 21, I believe, will have Flashback Honky Tonk Man.
I really liked the Defining Moments line. It's a shame they are done with them. They came with some great accessories. I never got into the Entrance Greats line as I primarily collect Elites but I can't deny that there were some cool figures.

I hope that at some point in the future the legends line will get revamped. Flashbacks just aren't working for me anymore and my Big Lots is just a shelf full of Kerry and Kevin Von Erichs. Though I'm not really missing the Entrance Greats. The concept was cool just poorly executed.

I wish we went back in time and Mattel released legends series one with. Kane,Yokouza,Andre,Diesel,Bret and Shawn Michaels. 2pack with Road warriors, demolitions and brain busters. They should not of made defining moments until a later time.

They should not of made defining moments until a later time. I think they should have waited to launch the line after they signed Macho Man. To begin the line with Macho Man would have drawn any wavering Jakks collectors back into the game. It would have done a much better job than blue-pants Slaughter. And give Andre the winged eagle belt (properly painted) and Bret or HBK the classic IC belt, and you'd be ready to go! Couple that with a little less production and you would've been set. Finally, like you said, go with the Road Warriors, Demolition and Brain Busters all with the accessories they came with. Putting the tag titles in the first 2-pack wave would have gotten the ball rolling, too. Ah well. Easy to say this now.

i say the legends line with live again one day I think if that happens it won't be until Mattel renews their contract. If they get a 3 or 5 year renewal I can totally see them restarting the legends line, especially if they can coincide it with their first Hogan, Flair or Sting. That would be a big launch.

I like the looks Mattel chose for the legends, with the exception of Slaughter. Rude's match @ SummerSlam 1990(Which that figure is a specific representation of) and his final run w/ the company was w/ short hair. So was his run w/ WCW. I think Terry Funk looked perfect in that outfit since even the packaging referred to his run w/ the company around the time of WrestleMania 2. As for Dusty, he wore the black & yell low the entire time he was in WWE. Even though they are Legends figures, they are still WWE figures. It makes sense that they would choose attires based on their time in WWE. As for Slaughter, your guess is as good as mine.
