I don't buy into that argument. Give me The Shield, who have reinvigorated the product, on the card rather than a boring guy who has "paid his dues" like Randy Orton.
Also, just because The Shield has only been in WWE for a month doesn't mean they haven't paid their dues. Rollins and Ambrose in particular have put in just as much work as anyone on the roster, but they did it on the Indy scene. They shouldn't be punished for that.
It's a matter of entertainment value and The Shield is more entertaining than pretty much anything in the WWE currently.
Who cares what they did in the indies? That's completely irrelevant. They haven't contributed more than a few months to WWE's product.
Actually, it is relevant. We know what they are able to deliver excellent matches because of their history on the Indy scene.
They haven't contributed more than a few months? That's because they've only been in the WWE for a few months, and they've done quite an impact. They saved Punk's reign in what was one of most memorable debuts in recent history and then they single-handedly saved the TLC payperview.
They provide solid entertainment value; people tune in to see what they're going to do next and who they're going to ambush. They can deliver a solid and brutal TLC match, they can certainly deliver a match against the Undertaker if given such a chance.
Also, I'd like to point out that its pretty ironic that you say that ''nobody cares what they did on the Indy scene'' and that its irrelevant, and yet whenever you defend Tensai you use his record in Japan (which nobody cares about as well)...
