Ok, so I'm totally into this storyline now, its just being made better and better with Paul Heyman and the whole mystique behind The Sheild and Maddox, there's actual unpredictability in some of the PPV matches too!
Its been over a year since Punk won the belt. I'd rather him not loose it to Cena or Rock, but keep it for another year and take it to - WrestleMania 30 CM Punk vs Undertaker Longest winning streak in the modern era vs the legendary wrestlemania undefeated streak.
at that point, WWE could have total control over whatever they wanted to do. (wheas in the past i.e taker vs HBK//HHH, theres not gonna be much of a benifit for anyone if they let HBK/HHH win)
Punk could lose - taker's been booked so strong in the past "x amount" of years, plus its WrestleMania it'd be a convincing victory for Taker Undertaker could lose - solidifying CM Punk's title reign as the most dominant in the modern era, Punk's beaten everyone there is to beat thus being a convincing victory for Punk
Honestly I'm not much of a mark for Undertaker, or many of thee guys at main event level, bar Ziggler and Ryback. But I dont think they'd be able to do something anymore compelling than Undertaker vs Punk.

I think it's a good idea actually, but I don't have the patience for another year tbh. I'm a Punk fan, but his reign has been pretty over exaggerated imo.

Punk and Undertaker will probably happen this year not next. I think Cena is being saved for Taker at Wrestlemania 30. And let's be honest, they could give Cena/Undertaker a half assed one month build and it would still be far bigger than Punk/Undertaker no matter how long Punk's had the title.
Some people are severely overestimating the drawing power of Punk's title reign. If a huge match is truly a huge match then you can simply look at it on paper and realize it. If you have to give one guy a ridiculous two and a half year title reign just to try and make people believe he's on the level then the match probably isn't really that big. Punk/Undertaker just isn't that big of a match compared to Taker's last few matches and if it happens it'll be a semi-main event at best behind Rock/Cena/Brock.

Sounds like an amazing idea! Book it a year in advance like they did Rock/Cena and watch it sell itself!

I'm seriously up for Punk holding the title until 2018 and beating Bruno for longest reign of all time. There's not one person whom I'd rather see hold the WWE title at this point. Rock doesn't need it. I could the rest of eternity without John Cena holding the title....and there's still the WHC that they could give to up and comers so they can still establish themselves.

It's pretty much proving the belt is nothing more than a prop. No one really needs it right now. Cena is too over and doesn't need the title, and CM Punk's reign has been dragged out forever.

Another 14/15 months of Punk as Champion? No thank you, I'm ready for The Rock to win the title at the Rumble, and I think The Undertaker vs John Cena is more compelling that The Undertaker vs CM Punk

MAN, if Cm Punk retains the wwe title and beats Undertaker at WrstleMania 29. Cm punk should NEVER LOSE THAT WWE Championship for at least the next 10 wrestlemanias.
