I'm not trying to be dramatic, or anything, and I'm not gonna be one of those guys who say "---- happens I'm not watching WWE anymore" only to go back a week later.
But in all honesty, The Rock and Brock (who's apparently just signed a 2 year contract extension) are KILLING all of the main event hype for me... I am a big CM Punk fun, but I was really ready for him to drop the belt. But I'd like there to have been a bit more of a suprise, back when Rock said he wanted to be WWE champion again I KNEW Punk would drop the belt to him, which has made the past 3 (?) months of CM Punks title reign totally un-enjoyably. Knowing that he would be Ryback, because he was going to drop the belt to the rock.
Now we move on to Brock he's gonna be in the main event some time soon and again I'm just hating the fact that it highly predicatable that he'll end up as WWE champion again soon. Probably with Cena beating him and "reclaiming the WWE from the grip of the "Heyman Guys"
I dont have a problem with either men, I can see why WWE are using them, I mean how over Rock is is unbelievable! I just wish creative would be a little more discreet and actually do a little bit of thinking on how to build a little more mystique behind their storylines.
what do you guys think?

I wonder how WWE thinks they can sell a WrestleMania without Rock, Brock, Triple H, or Undertaker at this point.

Obviously WrestleMania needs guys like that, like real star power that Rock, Austin, Undertaker, Brock, Triple H and HBK. But they could have done so much with the Punk angle to have The Rock take the belt, they didn't need to pretty much tell us what was gonna happen. More than that those guys dont need the belt to draw.... fine give the belt to the rock if thats what they want to do, but have a bit of suspense too. It was so obvious Punk would loose, which doesnt bother me, what gets on my tits is the predictability of it all.
Cena will cash in his Rumble victory and challenge the rock at 'Mania I'd like to see Heyman saying that his "client" wants a re-match at Mania too, Rock agrees, thinking its CM Punk, so we have Rock vs Cena vs Heymans Client, who turns out to be Lesnar. Heyman can say Brock enjoyed dominating Rock at Summerslam in 02 (?) that he wanted in again. Thats a bit far fetched. But I think it'd be a neat little swerve in which WWE gets their star power guys in the main event, AND we get a bit of intrigue and surprise.

I think that the problem is that they're relying on these guys like a crutch. They've done very little to really make new stars look like big deals because they can fall back on the nostalgia acts.
I have no problem seeing the older guys showing up from time to time, but I don't want to happen at the expense of the ones that are there the rest of the year.

The problem is the ceiling for alot of IWC favorites is very low. Ziggler will never sell tickets on a serious level.
WWE stays with the big boys because they draw. But it won't hurt them. They have guys like Barrett and Ryback who will be huge for them one day.

I too agree there.... Ziggler is gonna be very much like Kurt Angle, an amazing talent, can work the Mic, and is top in the ring. But I can only see him holding the belt for a few months at a time.
Ryback should do well, I'm not seeing anything in Barrett though I just cant accept him as a serious contender in the main event scene.

I think Ziggler would be a good front man and champ for the company. He has hollywood good looks, no homo, and his mic skill will hopefully get better and better. I can see him doing Conan or Kimmel.

While I get what you are saying, WWE needs guys like Brock and Rock on top right now. Now I know people are upset that Rock ended CM Punk's 400 plus day title reign, but in all honesty, if they didn't do the angle on Raw 1000 where Rock announced he was getting a Royal Rumble title match, Punk's regin would have ended a lot sooner. I would bet dollars to donuts that either Cena or Ryback would have ended Punk's reign in the fall had Rock not been coming back to get that shot. They just used the longevity of Punk's reign to make Rock's win that much more important. So while not guaranteed, I'm willing to bet that Punk and the fans have Rock to thank for being the longest reigning champion of the last 25 years.

I would rather have had the rock win the rumble, and Cena beat Punk at EC. atleast then there woudn't have been that "cloud" hanging over the WWE title main event scene leading up to the rumble. I think Ziggler would be a good front man and champ for the company. He has hollywood good looks, no homo, and his mic skill will hopefully get better and better. I can see him doing Conan or Kimmel. good looks? he has such a massive jaw! if he went down on AJ underwater she'd think she's being rescued by a dolphin. leaving out his looks I do hope he does well as I'm a fan of his.

Dont even start me on the Corre, god awful faction that was.
