unsure if true to any extent. however id love this if punk still had the title, the fact he lost to rock, yet beats takes, makes rock shine above taker as the rock (by beating punk, who beat taker) could have done it if given the chance perhaps.
discuss people!!!

Newz says Taker won't be at Mania this year because he's too hurt.
Vince won't let the streak end. Taker has wanted it to end several times in the past (Orton) and Vince always said no.

Hahaha that's crazy. Who'd have ever thought a guy would refuse to wrestle unless they let him LOSE! We are used to guys being greedy and selfish and refusing to wrestle unless they WIN, Taker wants to lose or he's not doing it!

have it so that the odds are extremely stacked in punk's favour...shield/that dumb ref etc. taker still needs to win though.
you could have this awesome promo where punk says all the cards are in his favour, laying out playing cards ad he talks only for them to burst into flames when he's done talking. and we could get a paul bearer/paul heyman scrap.

If they aren't willing to let it end then he should just retire. I'm honestly a little spent on every single year, The Undertaker has the exact same story going into Wrestlemania. It's just getting old and predictable.

Was hoping for Randy Orton...but he's fine.

its better it ends and his gone. then the torch has truly been passed like never before. if orton ended it, and taker could still go and he did, there'd be nothing left and he'd be at wrestlemania with no purpose. its better this was and nothings lost. takers career has been solidified and now there's nothing left, he has nothing to loose, so he can pass the torch onto the streak ender.

Punk ending the streak would cement Punk hugely. Coming off the longest WWE Championship reign in the modern era and to go on and end the most impressive streak in WWE History would put Punk over the top as the biggest heel.

No. Absolutely not. Undertaker does not need another match on that streak "20-0" is too perfect to add another win to, and a loss looks bad. Last year was "The end of an Era". If Triple H keeps returning, is Undertaker keeps returning, who's it the end for? The Cell? That should've been Triple H's last match, maybe Undertaker's last WM and the last use of The Cell.

Wow...Great topic...
I don't want Undertaker's WrestleMania streak to end, but if anyone sSHOULD do it, it should be CM Punk. The biggest thing that I have learned about pro wrestling wins and losses is how much it would help or hurt the current wrestlers involved in said match.
So here it is: Does Undertaker beating CM Punk to make it 21-0 help Undertaker vs CM Punk beating Undertaker and ending "The Streak" to help CM Punk?
I can understand and love both sides of the story here but this is one thing that I personally can't and refuse to make my mind up about...

But the truth is that the streak has to end. I have to be honest, I always thought they were going to let it be Cena, and I was always intrigued by seeing it happen. However, Cena winning would put people over the edge with him. So unless you turn him heel, he would just get even more heat than he already does as the companies top babyface that half the audience hates.
However, Punk is a totally different story. He just came off the longest title reign in the last 25 years, and just got flattened, kayfabe, by The Rock. Him beating Taker would definitively cement him forever, and now is the perfect time. Not to mention, if they put him against Austin at 30, it'll look like an even bigger showdown. Punk, Randy Orton, and John Cena would be about the only 3 guys I could genuinely see doing it at this point. If Taker is ready, and willing to crown Punk the guy, then holy Jesus am I ready to see that happen. That to me, more than anything else happening this year, is worth $65.

I honestly think the streak should never end. I like Punk as well but if he ends the streak then it would turn into one of those things where people talk about it for a few days and forget. I believe 'Taker should win his last match and just call it quits. It would be symbolic if he wins and retires. Why? Simply because the story ends but the legend continues. It's just one of those things that people always remember, the streak. When I think of the Undertaker, I think about an unstoppable force who's never had a Wrestlemania loss and never will. I really hope they don't end the streak

I've been saying since their little feud in 2009(?) that Punk needs to be the guy to do it.
I really feel like he should lose his last mania match and give Punk the ultimate rub.
