Me and my mate have had this joke since high school that we're immortal, we were in a tattoo parlor a few months ago with a friend who was getting a tattoo, just flicking through the book and we decided we should get matching "immortal" tattoos, we wanted the Chinese symbol for it but theres so many variations on google images I'm not sure which one is which if anyone could help that'd be really handy!

xD why not! I think we had a similar chat last time we were high about getting our body parts labeled in tattoos but we threw the idea out when we realised we'd have to get our shlong done too

I know that the symbol that looks like a 7 is chinese for Brocoli and Chicken with fried rice, an egg roll, and soup.

If you aren't Chinese and don't know Chinese then you shouldn't get a tattoo of a word in Mandarin because you'd look like a douchebag (Just like those people with Tribal tattoos)

Although im not a huge tattoo fan. Im sorry to say this but it is the truth, I think tats are for people who are misguided, or gang bangers, or inmates, or just people who arent all there. Tats to me seem like a bad idea. Like you may really be into Chinese symbols today but do you really want that on you for the rest of your life? What if at age 5 you really liked Pokemon or Sponge Bob, and you got a tattoo of that, would you still think it's cool in 5 years?

Makes me wonder if there are Chinese people out there with English words tattooed on their arms that read "I SUCK" or something like that.

You stereotype because of what you see on TV. I'm sorry, but that was really ignorant... talk about misguided.

Im just telling you how I feel. Im not directing a comment at anyone person on these boards, im just sharing my thoughts. It is the honest truth as to how I feel about people with Tattoos. I've met lots of people with tattoos. And I have yet to meet a person with tattoos who seemed on the level. In my personal experiences I just dont see eye to eye on most things if a person has tattoos. I worked with a fella, had lots of tattoos. He had a criminal record when I first met him at work. Then he was fired for stealing from the company, thousands of dollars worth of fuel and product. Then he made the news because him and his brother beat a man to the point where the man lost an eye. This beating took place at my ex coworkers/tattoo fan's kids birthday party. I currently work with a number of people who have tattoos, I dont care for a single one of them. The ones who don't present themselves as thugs come across as lazy people. I'll be at work watching them talk about tattoos and I'll just be thinking, yeah how about we do some work now? Sadly I see these people who were probably lazy or thugs BEFORE they got tattoos. But since they have tattoos since I know them I associate tattoos with the people I've known and disliked. Again this is all just from my personal life experiences. Im sure there are plenty of level headed people who just got a tattoo for some reason. It's just the few tat lovers I've met usually make me think they arent right.

They were fine until they were lured into that tattoo cult. It's been downhill for them ever since. Tim was a regular teenage boy, straight A's and a girlfriend he had known since kindergarten. One day this wild looking man convinced Tim to follow him. Against his better judgment Tim went with. The man lead Tim through this awful, rat infested hole in the wall and made him sit in a chair. There they bound and gagged Tim. The man pulled out this vile looking machine and gave Tim his first tattoo. When he was done he let Tim go. Scared, Tim went straight home and went to bed, he didn't want anyone to find out what had happened. He awoke the next morning, went downstairs and promptly killed his parents. He didn't want to but some force was making him. It was the tattoo, it just overpowered him. He left the house and joined the wild man. For the rest of his days he would kidnap unsuspecting kids with bright futures and infect them with the life changing tattoo.

So in essence, people that have something that you're more keen to recognize visually, you'll pay more attention to, therefore elevating your perception and chance of noticing any shortcomings they might have. In that same sense, I've seen plenty of people sans tattoos that are lazy, thugs, criminals, etcetera; so I suppose in that same breath, all of humankind, including yourself, can be lumped into the same category that you've decided to dump people with tattoos into.

For the rest of his days he would kidnap unsuspecting kids with bright futures and infect them with the life changing tattoo. Yeah I see what you did. Im pretty sure tattoos dont make a person be the way they are. Im sure it's the other way around, see if a person is that way already then they prob think it's cool to get a tattoo. It's kinda like a tattoo on the lower back of a woman. Chances are she had already let more than a few men see that lower back area before she decided to advertise on that space. I know a number of people who I've known for years now. I dont much care for them. When I was in class during High School they would be the ones cutting class to go to a party or go spray paint someones garage. Later on in life I thought it would be cool to go buy a movie or video game or wrestling figures. They on the other hand thought it would be cool to get a tattoo of something they thought was nice. I know at least half a dozen people who thought it would be cool to get tattoos of tear drops right under there eyes. It's all just a matter of taste I guess. I strongly dislike tattoos. You might think they are super cool. To each there own. Just dont take it personal or anything when I tell you how I feel.
