They might as well just offer it on YouTube for a fee, not unlike what they do with Hulu Plus.

It would be cool if they had a WWE Network app on the Roku streaming box like TNA on Demand, if they can't get cable providers. They could charge like $8-$10/month.
Its going to be difficult to get cable providers to have a 24 hr wrestling channel. I have Classics on Demand and i think thats good enough for me. But it would be great to access the full archive of RAW, SD, Nitro, Thunder, ECW, ppvs for each year, etc. On the Roku that could be possible. TNA has all their shows from 2002 days in the Asylum til Turning Point 2012...some ppvs are missing, but still lots of content.
WWE should really consider that.

The Chinese Democracy of professional wrestling. Except this is a slightly better idea than Chinese Democracy. Only slightly.

they couldnt find a network... last thing i remember seeing was they were interested in something but would need to go in with an other company to get said network... and they didnt want to actually do that... so it was pushed...

It's unbelievably hard to acquire the rights to an entire television network and get cable providers to actually carry it. WWE was having issues securing a deal, and finding distribution that they considered acceptable.
If it had come to fruition, very few fans would have even had access to it, subscription or not.

I'm wondering which long delayed project is going to actually be launched first, the WWE Network or Dr. Dre's Detox album?

What a big blunder that was. By the time we see Legend's House sadly most of the legends might be gone.
