Many people have the misconception that if they don't get in on the pre-sale, they've missed their opportunity for good seats. That simply isn't true. A very select number of seats from each price level are released during the pre-sale. The rest is made available during the public on-sale. As for scoring front row, it's all about luck. The number of front row tickets that are made available to the public is unbelievably limited. We're probably talking under twenty, if that. They're reserved for corporate sponsors, celebrities, special guests, friends, and family. Anything that isn't used is either given to Ticketmaster for "Platinum Auctions", where they sell their own tickets at far more than even the secondary market, or they're released into the public pool 24-72 hours before the show.

Awesome so there is a chance to get lower level seats on saturday right? Absolutely. Of course, there's always an element of luck when it comes to searching for tickets, but you have as good a chance as anyone else looking for lower level seats. Just be on Ticketmaster a few minutes before and start refreshing, i'm sure you know the drill. A couple of tips - don't refresh like a maniac. Ticketmaster has a habit of banning IPs that do this for 24 to 48 hours. As a general rule of thumb, I like to let the entire page load before refreshing while waiting for Ticketmaster's official clock to strike 10 (or whatever time the on-sale is.) Don't necessarily assume that the first thing you get is the best thing you'll see. Ticketmaster releases tickets in waves, and tons of other constumers are doing the same thing you are. So, theoretically, someone could have better tickets than you in their cart, and then they could run out of time, have their card declined, or decide they don't want them. Those tickets are then back in the pool and yours for the taking, should you catch them. To test the waters and find out just how fast tickets are selling (so you know whether or not to take the first thing you catch to avoid missing a chance to get anything at all), have multiple windows open. BUT NOT in the same browser. One window per browser only. Ticketmaster will kick you for anything more than that, unless you're masking your IP, which I don't recommend. It can mess with the site and give you incorrect capture codes. If you have a PC, I recommend having one window in IE, one in Firefox, and one in Chrome. If you're on a Mac, replace IE with Safari.
