Happy Valentine's Day everybody. If you remember a few months back I did a little extra decorating to my Mattel Entrance stage.  Well look at what I did...  Now before you say anything, I know this isn't accurate to what Raw's Current setup looks like. Here is why... I didn't want to compromise the stages integrity by covering it up too much. Mattel did a good job, and if I covered it up too much it would have taken away the asthetic of the design. I would have also wasted $60 since I could have made one out of cheap materials. So this is a hybrid of previous and current looks. It lights up too BTW.  In addition to the side lighting and printouts I also raised the height of the stage. I use an ESR for my Arena setup and the ring was dwarfing the stage a little so I needed to "beef" it up a bit by making it taller and wider. Here is a pic w/ a CM Punk figure just to show the scale.  And another angle.  I might do more to it just yet but it isn't bad for where it is right now. Thanks for looking. P.S. Looks awesome. Where can you get those kind of lights? I've been looking for quite a while. I got mine from Michaels. Their called Poster Lights and you can find them in the poster board section. |

Love the history of the RAW logos!
It's amazingly massive! I'd love to see a figure of Big Show looking up with a comic book speech bubble saying "Jesus Christ..." lqtm

Looks awesome, love the lights! Ive never been a fan of how unbalanced the "HD" stage is. I think the main tron and entrance sould be center, but there wouldnt be a way of moding that. It looks way better with the larger side panels though, acutual and in your fix up. I like the older raw logos, but they really dont fit. They kind of look like theyre free floating banners. Maybe if you could box them in like mini screens? Still a sweet set up!

That looks awesome dude. If I were to ever buy an extra stage to open, I'd definitely want to do this with mine. What exactly did you use to add height to your stage? What type of materials did you use to extend out from the sides, is it just poster board?

I have many item in my collections, and then I have those "special items" This is easily one of them. It is hard to tell from the pics but I also have the screen accurate coveralls hanging in the background on the left side of the stage.  That looks awesome dude. What type of materials did you use to extend out from the sides, is it just poster board? I have the stage itself resting on a piece of styrofoam to raise the height. As far as the sides, they are one black poster board cut in half. I then measured out where the red lights would go. After I cut those out and added the printouts in between each light set up (which was a real pain in the @$$ BTW) I then had them laminated. After that I colored the now windows in with permanent red marker. I then glued straws which where cut to size and glued them on all the red rectangles. After that I punch holes where the lights would go. For the lights behind the red, I added more poster board behind those and the light are punched through those. Finally, I used poster board in the back of each side display to keep them curved. They can also stand on thier own without anything to hold them up which was the biggest part of my goal in making these. I'll post more pics tomorrow, to show you more in depth detail on what I exactly did. I am at work right now, and I have wrestling school right after, so I don't see myself getting to take more pics today. But I will go into more detail for those who want to know. Unfortunately it is hard to expalin w/o pics. |

That's really cool. I like the idea of working lights. My favorite part is the use of all the different Raw logos over the years. Nice idea.
