Hi guys As seen at Elimination Chamber when Henry threw Orton through the pod, the "glass" was more like a sheet than anything else. In the original bout, which is still one of my favourite's, the pods have "bullet proof" glass, which made for a epic smash. 6:25 is the first Chamber smash. I'm guessing they don't use this glass because of safety reasons, might cost too much, or the sheets are just easier to replace when they have two Chamber matches. So does anyone know why the pod glass was changed? - One In Need Of Enlightenment

i honestly think its the same stuff... just depending on the speed , angle and other variables its breaks or just falls in with the wrestler...

If it were real glass and shattered, the damage that could do to the wrestlers or if it went into the crowd and cut people. It would be very expensive. IMO

If they were smart they'd use sugar glass like they do in movies, then the shattering of the glass would look perfect.

They would have to be careful with sugar glass not to bang on it lol.

I hear that sugar glass has to be used fairly quickly after its made, I'm not sure if thats because it gets harder the longer its not used or it crumbles....
