Consider this a bit of a pre-PPV pep talk. We're in the roleplay period for this PPV, but no one has posted yet..
PPV time around WFWF is a big deal. This isn't just any other show. This is "the big show". Some of you weren't around for the last PPV. Some of you won't make it to the next PPV. We only have PPVs around here once every 5-7 months, so when they happen.. They mean something. It's where feuds come to a close, it's where title matches happen, and it IS the opportunity to step the up and prove that you belong to be higher on the card than you are. Are you unsatisfied with being in the opener? Prove you're better. Post something for the PPV that blows everyone's minds. Are you wanting to get yourself in a title program? Post something that SHOWS you're in the upper tier here. There aren't that many high level roleplayers around here any more and three are getting a shot on this show.. So opportunities to break out and prove yourself aren't nearly as hard to come by as they used to be.
This isn't rhetoric from me. The guys who have been around for a while can tell you. Trace, Yukio, Horror.. The guys who have seen PPVs come and go. PPVs are the time when you throw everything you've got out there. No one's going to remember or care about what happened on a Revolution in five years.. But you look back.. You SEE who won Survival of the Fittest in 2007. You SEE who main evented the first Superbrawl. You can SEE who challenged for the World title and what matches the company's had. The PPVs are a big deal. Treat them that way. This goes for match writing, roleplays, segments, everything. Replies too. The replies around here have dipped to all time lows. Most roleplays get no replies. This needs to stop. No one will ever improve without feedback from their peers and around here, EVERYONE is a peer. Don't stop replying to someone because you think they're a better writer than you. That shouldn't stop you from giving your opinion on what you liked and disliked and what you think about the direction and creative decisions of the characters presented.
