If Punk can hit a fan right in front of Vince, then Swagger should be ok. Punk was getting pushed from all angles on steps with no security around him. Plus, Punk is pretty much invaluable now. They could pretty much release Swagger right now and not many would give a crap, thats not saying that I wouldn't though. I was looking forward to his push tbh.

People who put 'Haha bye Swagger!' are such tools. I'd admit, me laughing over it is just to cover up how mad I am. I was actually looking forward to Swagger/Del Rio so I'm allowed to be pissed. Dude is an absolute idiot. Oh no I totally agree. He's screwed up and may have A) cost himself a Mania main event and B) cost us the chance to watch a good rivalry develop. It's people that think that's 'HAHA SOOO FUNNY!!1' that annoy me. Wanting people and things to fail is a stupid attitude.

Yeah, this situation simply cannot be compared to Punk hitting a fan. The situations are absolutely nothing alike. Punk stated that he felt he was in danger of being shoved down the stairs, and many fans around him corroborated that story. We saw the instigation, and the retaliation. Could Punk have handled himself better? Of course. But at the end of the day, he was protecting himself, and he made a mistake by hitting the wrong person.
WWE and the arena security were also at partial fault in that situation for not sending the proper security up into the stands with Punk. That's standard protocol. Punk was all by himself.
This is all on Swagger, who did something illegal, got caught, and now will likely face the consequences.

I don't think they will do anything to swagger but his push is GONE. Was anybody on here like this when jeff hardy was arrested for drugs?

I won't be surprised to see WWE do NOTHING about this and everything goes as planned.

What I think is hilarious is how many of you fail to realize how many guys smoke pot in WWE. Orton probably pays that 2500 dollar fine every single time he gets tested. Bourne (who has the longest healing foot injury in history) also is an avid smoker. Who knows how many other guys in the back do it but it really isn't a big deal and I really really hope WWE just fines him and keeps his push going.
In fact if they do write it into the story line that he was wrongfully arrested and the cops was a hispanic or something. Holy crap that would be golden. One of the best storylines in a while actually due to the reality factor.

THIS. i really want to see swagger with this push at WM. pot is harmless. there's no argument with that, other than after chronic use is can cause minor lung damage. MINOR. no cancer problems. and it isn't like pot will ENHANCE swagger's performance, if anything, he probably just uses it after the stress from the matches he puts on for us every other night. bud is relaxing. it's more like a drink before bed, but even less harmful. SOME STATES ARE EVEN LEGALIZING OR DECRIMINALIZING IT ALREADY. if swagger is taken out of the main event and someone like orton fills in for this incident, i'm not ordering WM this year. didn't rvd get suspended for a week like a week after winning the ECW title back in 05-06? i think that swagger should be punished with a fine or so, yes, but taking away a man's dreams of having a whc match at WM and ruining a possibly great WM match is just silly, even for business.

I think he was just screwed because they were doing a show in Mississippi. Had they of been in California, Colorado, Washington, any of those I don't think it would have been a big deal at all. The Bible Belt - 1, Swagger - 0.

One of the best storylines in a while actually due to the reality factor. Im 99.9% sure they changed those rules because of Brian Kendrick who said he would just keep paying the fines. They started suspending guys without pay and then eventually will can you. This isnt just about "smoking weed" though. He was arrested and charged which is no longer a WWE situation but a state/federal situation. He's ed up. Period

No, actually, having someone who was just arrested for possession of an illegal drug (in most cases - this isn't a debate on whether or not it SHOULD or SHOULDN'T be legal, it's about facts, and the fact is, in most places, it ISN'T) is horrible for business and anything but "silly" when your target demographic is impressionable youth. People are completely failing to realize the difference between Swagger and Orton here. Orton was caught by WWE. They can quietly fine and suspend him and send him on his merry way. They're in control. They can keep it a quiet, isolated media blip that gets sent out on their corporate website and be done with it. Swagger was caught, and arrested by the police. That's a monumental difference. Changing the match would have absolutely no negative impact from a business prospective. If this were 10 days out from Wrestlemania, then you're potentially talking about an issue, but the event is over six weeks away. The WWE title match isn't even officially set in stone yet, so no one is going to bat an eye if they change the World Title match. I'll say again what I said before, the number of guys in the WWE that smoke weed is completely irrelevant. If they are going to make a conscious decision to partake in marijuana use, they have a a clear responsibility to ensure that the choices they make in their private life don't become part of their public life, which in turn, effects their professional life. Swagger failed to do that, plain and simple.

Let me just add that just now, after I got done telling my Brother about this Swagger bullcrap, he told me how a buddy of his has actually smoked with Kofi Kingston before and that his friend is good friends with Kofis brother.
All I'm saying is that its not like he got arrested for being drunk, or being on any other heavier drugs like coke or crack. All he got busted with is a little bit of weed and the cop game him a friggin DUI and arresed him for it. Some of you might call that "standard protocol" but these days. Cops don't give one $hit about pot for the most part. And the ones who do are just hardasses who aren't with the times. And the specific cop/s whoactually charged Jack with a DUI for weed had to have some sort of serious issue. Whether it be he's a wwe mark who believes in kayfabe, a hispanic officer with a gripe about swags new gimmick, or just a plain douchebag. He definately should've gave Swag a warning and let him be on his way.

He definately should've gave Swag a warning and let him be on his way. It IS standard protocol. Marijuana, by and large, is still illegal to use and possess. Swagger had it in his vehicle, and apparently was high at the time as well, that constitutes an arrest. It doesn't make one single shred of difference whether he was drunk or high. None. It is illegal to operate a motor vehicle while under the influence of a substance that may impair your judgment. That's it. The cop was doing his job. End of story, it's absolutely foolish to argue otherwise.

The trends on this forum are hilarious. Nobody says a word about the guy, he wins the Chamber and now everyone loves him, I mean c'mon, the guy is garbage on the mic and botches 50% of the time he tried his finisher. How many times have you seen him up when he was trying to lift someone up for the Gutwrench?

The Gutwrench has failed like twice, and who was at fault is questionable.
