Whats the chances? I think its a real possibility, both having their last Mania and Rock going over Taker and ending the streak. With Taker already having 20-0 in the bag i dont think hes anything to loose by getting beat if this does happen. You heard it here first folks!

The match could happen. But Rock going over? No way in hell.

Rock's done enough already. He doesn't need to break the streak. Punk's the best suggestion I've heard if it has to be broken.

Knowing how the WWE loves the Rock so much, it wouldn't surprise me if Rock would go over Taker.

I dont think Punk has the credentials to take on Taker in a landmark such as WMXXX. Punk is a big name no doubt about it, but what sounds better for WMXXX...Rock vs Taker or Punk vs Taker?

Rock vs Taker sounds better for a headline match, but I wouldn't want him to go over Taker, even though I'm a huge Rock fan.
The Taker/Punk feud would be brilliant with Punk playing his bad ass heel. He could also carry Taker to a good match.

But whoever beats taker for the streak should be someone who will really benefit from it. That's the ultimate rub and while I disagree with you about Punk not having the creds to do it, even if you're right....beating taker could be what he needs to get that extra push. Your idea does exactly what WWE doesn't need to do and that's continue to rely on older stars rather than creating new ones. Sorry bad idea.

can't see it...considering neither of them need the gain. a hhh/rock match would do better anyways.

Yea fair enough i get that WWE shouldnt rely on older stars BUT the fact is just like Rock vs Hogan was a huge deal the rock vs taker would be massive and draw bejamins a plenty! I disagree about punk needing or getting an extra push by beating Taker because if that year long reign as champ isnt a push that takes him to the next level then i dont know what is!

Yea ill take that back, considering what Punk has done over the last year especially id say he would actually have the creds for a match with Taker. Still, i dont think you can argue that Rock vs Taker would be the bigger draw.

Rock is my third favorite wrestler (1. Roddy Piper 2. Sabu) and I wouldn't wanna see Rock end "The Streak" Or Punk. Leave It be!

The match wouldn't interest me much to be honest. The whole feel of the feud would just be too similar to Undertaker vs. Triple H where it's the last two guys representing an era with each guy needing a victory to be able to ride off into the sunset and call it a career. There would really be no basis for a feud between the two besides that. Plus, you would also have to take into account the fact that the feud would be tough to book with Taker and Rock both working part-time schedules nowadays.
