Makes sense. Loses the title at Mania, gets the championship rematch owed to him at Extreme Rules.

Interesting. Him getting a rematch at Extreme Rules is something I just can't see happening. Rock/Cena III at Extreme Rules? Nah, doubt it.

Yeah I doubt it's a rematch, although I could see a John/Rock III at some point in the far future... Wrestlemania 31/32??

maybe he's winning at WM, since his title match record at WM is 0-3

Wow, no idea what he will do there, i expect him to lose the WWE TITLE and leave till Summerslam..or survivor series..or even next years Wrestlemania season.
Rock vs Cena? Not Likely.
Rock, Cena, Punk vs The Shield? Seems likely.
Rock vs Brock! Hmmmmmmmmmmm ?

Rock/Cena III at Extreme Rules is a possibilty. They'll want to do a rubber match at some point and with Rock's schedule there isn't a lot of opportunities to do so. If they plan on doing Rock/Brock and Cena/Undertaker for Wrestlemania next year then they'll want to end Rock/Cena before then and Extreme Rules could be the place.
They could also do Rock/Cena/Punk. It's not big enough to main event Wrestlemania (it'll definitely be Rock/Cena II) but it could do for Extreme Rules.

I'd love to see The Rock take on The Shield in some form and have Lesnar interfere, costing him the match and setting up Wrestlemania XXX.

Aren't WWE in prestige mode now with the World titles and others, in that they don't get thrown around like the hot potato.
No way is Rock losing at Mania, after two hap-hazard victories over Punk and after he introduced the new title. Losing it to Cena...How would that make him look?

Not if they want to get well over a million buys again. Rock/Cena is where the drawing power lies. Adding Punk muddies the waters and makes the match less of an attraction to the more casual fans (he is simply not on the level of Rock or Cena no matter how many times he beats them in kayfabe). It would have been like adding Kurt Angle to Rock/Austin's rematch at Wrestlemania 17. There's no way the match is as big as it is if you add a third, lesser star. Two big stars facing off one-on-one will always draw more than a triple threat featuring two big stars and one kinda big star.

Do you think maybe Rock is just being advertised to spike PPV buys? The Elimination Chamber poster made me think Cena, Rock, and Punk would compete in one match, and Sheamus, Ryback, and Big Show would compete in another. In the end, we only saw one Chamber match, and none of them were in it.
I don't know. Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part.

Once more I gotta say another good point. But I think Rock will not be there unless he play Guest ref role?
