I would like to think that Piper would have been in consideration for the World Title at around that time. Piper, Perfect and Dibiase would have been the glaring holes of 1992. I know Piper left to do movies but I think a title reign would have changed some of that. I'd say Warrior and Taker were probably the other two depending on the time period. Just my guess. Piper only made one appearance after Wrestlemania which was just playing the bagpipes at Summerslam. I'm not sure he would have been on the list as Vince was trying to move forward with new, younger wrestlers at the time.

yeah,Piper wasn't even a part-timer at that point, and became more of a special attraction. so I doubt he was even considered.

Since Flair had the title, I would assume the list was all faces. Assuming this I would think it might look like: Bret Hart British Bulldog Undertaker Warrior Mr. Perfect
The sixth spot is probably the most up for debate. Maybe Crush? Maybe Tito Santana ( if his stories are to be believed though I doubt it).

I just.... nothing against Santana at all.but I find it very hard to believe Vince ever seriously considered him to be World Champion. ESPECIALLY in 1992, where his best days both in the ring and merchandise-wise were behind him. hell, the El Matador character was a desperate attempt to keep him relevant in the early 90's.

I think the obvious name not being mentioned is Hulk Hogan. He might have been #6 on the list but there's no way if you're the CEO of a company and you're looking for "the face" that you dont have the "safe bet" on the list just to be on the safe side. Still a few years before the steroids trial and you cant say "Vince was moving away from big guys" and then proceed to list Warrior and Bulldog who were just as big.
Id say the list, in no order was....
1)Bret Hart (Rising singles star) 2)Hulk Hogan ("safe bet") 3)The Undertaker (safe reliable fall back plan) 4)Mr. Perfect (probably lower on the list because of the injury but still a reliable worker) 5 & 6) Ultimate Warrior/British Bulldog (which ever guy showed up at the show not coked out of their mind)

yeah I had forgotten about Undertaker.
and I highly doubt Santana was in consideration here.as stated above he had been a jobber since 89.

I laughed alot when I listened to Tito say it was out of him and Bret for the title! Who in their right mind would give Tito the title, when he was a jobber to the stars and was not long into his El Matador gimmick. Imagine Wrestlemania 9 headlined by El Matador vs Yokozuna......lol
