I was just on Amazon, and out of curiosity I typed in "Playstation 4".
There is one game available for pre-order which is set to be released on December 31, 2013.....it is a game called "Watch Dogs" and it is priced at $99.99!
I mean, is this seriously what the prices are going to be? Are games really going to be $100 dollars each?
I know all gaming systems are at a higher price point initially and then they drop after a bit, we saw it with Xbox, Xbox 360, and PS3......but the games, for Xbox360 and PS3 have, for the most part, been $60 from the get go.
I just don't know how people are going to be able to afford to drop $100 on each game....some people have a LOT of games.
I personally only buy the WWE game, MLB The Show, and if a movie or TV show I like comes out with a game I'll pick it up if it's supposed to be decent.....
Is anybody else troubled by these prices? We've already seen THQ go bankrupt....I'm worried that a lot more game developers might bite the dust if prices cause people to A) not buy games, B) buy fewer games, or C) start having to not buy certain games to afford others.

I fully expect games to be $59.99 although I have heard that EA may be charging $69.99 standard for their next gen games.

I think a $10 increase is what we will see not a $40 increase.
That is just absurd and is probably some random seller [if it was actually Amazon then that would suck] but still I doubt they could get many people to fork over that much money per game..

That's either a special edition price or they picked a number out of the sky because nobody knows for sure yet. But I'd wager that they'll run $60-$70 a piece. I'm more worried about the actual console. That thing's gonna cost you $520.

I'd bet between $60-$75 for sure; not $100.

The WiiU had a placeholder of $99.99 games too and look those turned out to be $60. And if EA games are $70, my EA purchases will be fewer and further between.

Glad I'm not a snob and am willing to buy used games.

The price is currently a place holder until they reveal the actual amount they will retail for.

But annual games like Madden and the like won't be and they'll also be used and not until the used price is at least 50% less than the new price. Not this $5 off...$60 New, $55 used crap.

It's a placeholder. They are taking preorders but do not have a price yet. Amazon guarantees the lowest possible preorder price so they start with an obviously high price so they don't accidentally dip under the MSRP.

Really wish Bioware would have sided with one of the lesser evils.

Glad I'm not a snob and am willing to buy used games. Same here. That's why I usually play games after they are already deemed "old" because I'll pick them up on the cheap. Lol

They're going to be $60-$80 each. I thought Sony said about it? Also WiiU games are £45-£50. Why would it be shocking if PS4 games are OP too?
