Just curious, but back in 93 and such, for those who played with their Hasbro figures as kids, how did you go about adding guys like Repo Man and Kona Crush into the mix??
Did you stop using Demolition, or was Smash and Repo Man two different people for you to use??
I never had Repo Man or Kona Crush as a child, I just had Ax, Smash and Crush, so I never had to worry about that.

Repo Man and Smash were two different people. Since it was two names and two different looks I didnt mind it. Crush on the other hand, I only used for Demolition. Same with the Rockers. Once I got the HBK, I split up the Rockers until I got the 2nd Marty Then I put them back together as heel team.

I just called Crush good guy....Kona. So I had Kona, Crush, and Repoman. When I got Heel Shawn I called the Rocker version Shawn Hickenbottom and the heel one Shawn Micheals.

I'm with Patriot1966, I was too young to care so just played with them. To be honest though I didn't use them to wrestle much with, I used to always just place all my figures in different positions and make big displays of them using books at different levels to stand them on!

i used kona crush as a good guy, then made a story line of him turning on bret hart in a tag match against demolition, then the next show he arrived in his demo attire, loved every minute of those days

I never got Demolition Crush, so didn't have that problem I did end up bringing in Repo Man as a separate character.
In regards to The Rockers, I remember splitting them as a team without a big feud and them reuniting at times for special matches.
Marty was the one who actually went heel in my fed first by joining Bret Hart & Anvil in a violent attack on Owen Hart after Bret became jealous of Owen going on a winning streak and getting a WWF Title shot.

Haha love this topic. Actually before the Kona version came out i used Demolition crush as Kona Crush. I was never 100% sure they were the same guy as a kid to be honest. And as a kid i never new that repoman was smash. But for some reason i used to use Smash as repo man before i got him.

I was a kid when the hasbro were out and wrestling wasn't like it was today and no internet and what not, so when I played with my figures I just played with them. Although Crush wise if I remember I probably did some type of story line but when it came to Repo Man it didn't matter.

as stated before I had a big angle where Owen was up and coming and Bret kept getting frustrated and finally snapped and brought back Anvil in the attack against Owen, so Anvil and Bret were back together of sorts.
Did anybody else have any against the grain stories in their fed?
I also had Rick Martel as a babyface against The Four Horsemen of Arn Flair Barry & Sid

Since there was no Diesel, I brought in the Terminator initially as Ted DiBiase's bodyguard, then he would go on to win the world title. Mumm-Ra was my Monster heel.
Or did anyone give unusual guys winning gimmicks? For some reason, my Brian Knobbs figure was knackered. So that to me meant he was really tough and could take a lot of punishment. So that was his gimmick, kind of like a Mankind.

I never used any non wrestling figures, but I did have interesting tag teams.
For example, I didn't have Owen Hart, but I had Anvil and I had Koko B. Ware. So I figured that if Owen could tag with them, then Anvil and Koko could tag with each other.
I had The Mountie and Sgt. Slaughter as a tag team, cause they had hats.
I didn't have IRS, so Greg Valentine and Ted DiBiase was Money Inc.
I remember though I used to have Arn Anderson and Lex Luger from the WCW Galoob figures feud with Ax and Smash all the time.

I would use anyone, sawed off one of my Sister's Ken doll legs, but he was still way too big.
Repo Man was Repo, and Smash was Smash. Only had Demo Crush.
