Got elite 20 CM Punk today and it's got a particular problem that I've found in certain elites, including one or two other Punks and particularly in the Kofi that was in yellow and black. The legs wouldn't move out at first and were quite stiff, but after a little while they did. Now they're kind of too loose, and won't stay straight. It makes it difficult to stand the figure up by itself, the legs (mostly the right leg, same as on the other figures this has happened with) want to just go out to the sides like Bambi on ice. Anyone else had this problem?

I've had the same problem, with all three of my Triple H's! Do you have the black mattel stands? They usually keep them up but I don't have a resolution for it

Sounds like you broke (or are about to break) the right hip peg. Certain figures (Punk, Bryan, Kofi, Legends Terry Funk) seem to all have stuck hips. the solution to this is to soak the figure waist down in boiling water for 10-12 minutes when you first get it. I've had 3 E16 Punks, all with stuck hips out the box. After they went through the boiling water, though, they loosened up and haven't had the problem since. You might need to do the trick twice or thrice, depending on the figure.

I may have screwed up my E20 Jericho. I raised his right leg out to the side now it doesn't seem to return all the way to a straight standing position. I don't know about Punk but Christian and Jericho still use the old style hip peg while Cody has the newer ball and socket. So far I like the newer style better. I wish Mattel would use it on all the new figures.

My elite 20 Punk had the same problem. I let him take a super hot bath in my sink for about 10 minutes and now his legs can move forward and back but still cant get them to go to the sides.

My elite 6 Punk (and elite 6 Goldust, and WrestleMania 26 Swagger, and Legends Rick Rude etc etc) are like that. Hot water didn't even work after about half an hour they were the same way again. This Punk isn't quite that bad, but it's still a little saddening.

The peg is either going to snap or it's partially broken.
Only way to really prevent this is if you first notice that the leg isn't moving, soak it in hot water and it should loosen it up and then let it dry in the posing position so it can stay firm in position.

Both my Elite Punks (All-Stars and E16) have the same issue.

The Only Figure I have that problem with have only been the cm punk figures(not sure about elite 1) The only punk that doesn't have that problem for me is the Bulid a figure set Punk. I don't know about the water trick because someone said before it still broke. You're figure is about to break. You can try a voucher from mattel.

I purchased 2 E20 CM Punk figures and 1 E20 Jericho. On the Jericho, both of his pegs were stuck, causing the legs to be unable to move to the side very much. Then, when I put the figure in hot water, the legs were able to be moved, but in turn, they became a lot looser (to the point where the slightest touch of the figure would make the legs unstable).
The same could be said for the one E20 Punk (both pegs jammed), and the other Punk's left leg's peg was stuck. So between the three figures, five of six pegs in the hip/leg were stuck. All of my Punks (E11, E16, E20, but not WM28 PPV) have had this issue.
As previously stated, I wish Mattel would begin to use the ball joints they have for some figures with all their figures. I can say I've yet to have an issue with the legs of any figure that had the ball joint hips (E18 Barrett, E19 Ziggler, E20 Rhodes to name a few), but I don't know how likely it is that we'll see the ball joints instituted for figures like Punk, Jericho, Miz, etc.

Mine is fine, although it doesn't really want to go back straight after I moved it out but it will go back. This happened to my Elite 6 Punk and caused me to return which is why I don't have it in my collection anymore
