I have seen replica belts with NWA as TNA on them and was wondering if TNA bought NWA out? I know Jarrett was champion for both and founded TNA but did he buy NWA?

I don't know for sure but I think that TNA/NWA had a partnership for a while hence why TNA's belt was their world title etc but in 2007 it broke down. That is when TNA created most of their current belts and the NWA Title continued on a separate path. I'm sure someone else can give you a better answer.

When TNA first began they used the NWA World and Tag Titles and were called NWA: TNA. They have since ended the relationship obviously.

I wonder what it takes to create/sever those relationships with the NWA. I remember when IWA Mid-South was apart of the NWA as well.

yeah they were partnered with the NWA and around the time they got their spike tv contract they had parted ways and TNA became their own company in 2007 after panda energy pretty much took over..

Is this a serious question?!
TNA was under the NWA umbrella for five years. So literally half the time it's existed.
How do people not know this?
It's like not knowing WCW was under the NWA umbrella until it wasn't.

The reason that the NWA allowed TNA to use it's titles was because of the national exposure TNA could afford to bring. The NWA was a mere shell of itself by 2002, and the TV time gave some credibility back to the NWAs championships.
The main reason TNA and the NWA severed relations is because TNA would send its champions to Indy shows and the like, and wouldn't report back to the NWA on the title changes if there were any, making it difficult for the NWA to keep track of the title. They decided to part ways.

Sorry to disappoint you, but I did know they were a partnership, what I didn't know is if TNA bought out NWA after they got bigger,

Their existence proves rightful.
