While every year has at least a few great names in it, i will forever be a little biased towards the wrestlemania 25 weekend.
it is the only wrestlemania and HOF i've ever been to live and it sure had some great inductees....just the fact that i got to see Stone cold inducted live in person makes me proud everytimei think back on it. not only was i always a huge fan of austin, but even if you weren't, theres no denying he was wwe's biggest icon ever, or at least on par with hogan. and to see Vince himself come out to induct him was unreal.
that in in itself would be good enough for me to count that as one of, if not the, best year for hof. BUT, that same class also had steamboat, the funks, the von erichs, bill watts...
Talk about legacys in wrestling...i really feel that year was truly stacked with great performers and legacys, and i feel very blessed to be able to say "i was there"
So yes i am looking through a rose tinted pair of glasses due to personal memorys but even when i take them off, i still see a great year that is hard to top in overall starpower, when you have the von erichs legacy, steamboat ( arguably the best worker ever), and stone f'n cold in the same class, it's hard to beat.

I'd go 05 as well. I think 05 and 06 stand above the rest. I think 07 and 09 were pretty great too.

Being there live to see Ric Flair's 2008 induction will always make that my favorite HOF year.

After what Bret went through to, undoubtedly the 2006 is the best. Especially with Eddie's death and subsequent induction.

Went for 06 simply because Bret Hart was SUCH a big deal going in. That was BIGGER than anything happening at Mania that year. Even the whole "Bret did nto feel comfortable appearing here" announcement at Mania was such a huge talking point. We will never get something that big at a HOF again.
UNLESS, Undertaker gets inducted and gives an out of character speech. Now that would be something...

I'm starting to like this years class the most. Bruno and Backlund both going in is a serious big time deal. The top two longest reigning wwe champions of all time. Along with Foley, Trish, Booker, this is a great class.

It's a good class but I think some of the names are to soon. I know Foley is in bc it's in NY but Booker is still appearing every week on tv Foley has been semi-retired since 2000 so IMO he deserves the spot. And for the Booker situation, Hogan did the same thing in 2005.

2005 for me. What I liked about that class mostly was the fact that they were all from the same era.

I dont see how you can argue against 2005 honestly. The biggest face in the 80s (Hogan) the biggest heel in the 80s (Piper), 2 of the greatest antagonist heels of all time (Sheik & Vokoff), arguably the 2nd greatest manager in WWF history, Jimmy Hart (behind only Bobby Heenan) and then 2 great upper mid carders & territory wrestlers in Bob Orton & Paul Orndorff.
