Was awful. I really like him and he is easily one of the best parts of the show every week but last night was a big swing and a miss. Cheap heel heat going back to the Paul bearer well. Fumbling over some lines and repeating himself it just seemed phoned in.

And saying "sh*t" when he dropped the urn, which may or may have not been on purpose.

Punk is doing the best with the card he's been dealt, which is a rushed match with no story behind it other than a dead manager that hasn't been a part of The Undertaker's legacy for years. I agree, the segment last night was cheap and lazy. It baffled me that people thought it was well done.

It was really weird. I actually forgot they had that segment and expected to see Punk at the end of the show. I wonder if Punk will take off after Mania. It really seems like they can't get out of their own way with his character.

Come on. "I don't answer to a higher power, I am a higher power." That line was ing hard as nails. I can't believe people are finding a way to complain about a Punk and Taker feud.

Also, Undertaker gives the worst promos. It's like he's perpetually an 80s wrestler.

It wasn't his best promo ever. I was kind of distracted by him tossing the urn around. Maybe that was the point. I think ultimately, it just feels forced and that was really the only issue I had with it. That isn't really Punk or Taker's fault. That's the direction WWE decided to head down when PB passed away. Minus Titus, I felt like all of last nights show was just mediocre, uninspired and rigid.
We criticize other guys when they have an off night though, it's only fair to do the same for Punk. It certainly wasn't his best work imo. I'm not sure how much he wants to be in this feud. Maybe that's my imagination but it seems reasonable to think he's a bit disgruntled right about now. Still the match I'm looking the most forward to seeing, largely out of pure default I suppose.

I am surprised, most people didn't enjoy it. I thought it was one of the best things last night, beside Pancake Paterson.

Punk has flat out said he has no interest in facing The Undertaker at Wrestlemania, because to him, it's all about the possibilities in the outcome and wrestling The Undertaker at Wrestlemania has a foregone conclusion. I don't think he's into it at all, he's just doing the best with what he's been dealt.

Yeah I'm enjoying the Punk/Taker angle for what it is. Even thought it seems rushed and the outcome is inevitable.
What I am getting kind of sick of is any opponent of ADR attacking and injuring Ricardo during every angle. I dunno. I guess there's not much else they could do to add more heat. Maybe Zeb will try and deport him?

Also, Undertaker gives the worst promos. It's like he's perpetually an 80s wrestler. Yea, Undertaker really brought nothing. "Now... give me back that urn!" made me cringe.... maybe they're trying to make him seem vulnerable? His non-response to Punk's promo just seemed strange. I am going to Wrestlemania, and this is the match I'm looking forward to most... maybe my expectations are just too high.... I think they'll deliver a great match, though.

Taker is one of the best ever. Top 5 in my eyes. Its always been said that he's a backstage general and a consummate professional. A mentor.
With that being said, He's never been great on the mic imo. A huge part of that is early in his career Paul Bearer was his mouthpiece. He'd chime in with something and then close with "rest in peace." But that was part of the character. Less was more. It added to the mystique and eerie feel. Same with Kane. The more he talked, the softer he got. But I know, he couldn't be silent forever.

Punk is a genius. Him tossing around the urn alone was better then anything on the show last night. Then him doing Paul Bearers voice was priceless.
Old school heal at it's finest.

I loved the segment, the whole thing where he was tossing the urn around was really disrespectful (storyline wise), and the way he was talking to the Undertaker like he wasn't a threat. He seemed more interested in making sure he didnt drop the urn which I think made the segment really good, almost as if Undertaker was an after thought, Like Taker didnt warrant Punks full attention.
I'm enjoying the way Punk is acting so laid back, people are calling it lazy but its not he's just being chill about it, which we dont often see in a feud with Taker, usually the guys he faces are always acting scared etc.

I really want to know if that urn dropping was intended or an accident

While it may not have been one of his best, it wasn't that bad.
And even though I would rather have had Punk vs Triple H & Taker vs Brock I'm enjoying both feuds so far.

I enjoyed it. I liked how nonchalant Punk was; he's got the Undertaker's source of power and the only man who can tame and control that power is gone. Punk basically has Undertaker's fate in his hands; he's in the driver's seat and that's why he was so lax in his promo.
Plus, "Oh crap, I dropped the urn" was perfect.
