I can honestly say that the product has gotten tons better since turning PG. And for all of you saying, "WWE is PRO WRESTLING! HOW COULD THEY DO THIS!", it's not wrestling, it's Sports Entertainment. The WWE has always changed every now and again, and they have to to stay fresh. It's not even that PG now..........

Everyone is acting like we know exactly what this means for the WWE TV we watch. I'm sure it just means different commercials, more mother figures on Raw? I'm sure it's nothing major, I mean when it comes down to it it's a show centered around physical violence.

Did we not all get in to pro wrestling as kids? Everyone forgets that and thinks they were always a 15 workrate and deathmatch fan. Wrestling is for kids (and kids that never grew up). If marketing harder to kids means more fun characters, I'm all for it. Wrestling is for kids? When the industry was at its most popular, the WWE was undeniably writing for a more mature audience. Also, most of the fans nowadays are the now 'grown up' kids who got into it during the era of Rock/Austin/Mankind. That is where the viewership comes from, and merchandise sales aside, that should be the primary demographic to please.

People cry about this, yet talk about how amazing Rufus Patterson was on Raw. Go figure.
This doesn't surprise me at all. I'm just waiting for there to be a new cartoon created, al la Hulk Hogan's Rock'n Wrestling.

Omg what doesn't get about that wrestling is not for kids Did we not all get in to pro wrestling as kids? Yes, but at least in my childhood 2000 - 2002 it was catered more toward young adults and older men. Dont you remember the "this show may not be suitable for younger audiences" before every show? If it was more kiddish when we were kids it would probably just remain in our childhood and we wouldnt be still watching as adults. It was edgy and it didnt insult our intelligence, it was probably something we werent suppose to be watching that young but thats what has kept us coming back for more.

I don't even blame Vince at this point. I could almost guarantee he's surrounded by corporates who are tellin him what they think he should do and as long as he keeps getting money (and in this day and age, he should be making a lot more) he doesn't challenge them. The only losers are the fans - as Vince will make money despite himself as Punk said. I've invested a hell of a lot for one person into this company and I'm already considering whether to continue watching WWE and definitely won't be buying any more PPVs after Mania based on the products current embarrassing nature. This news is just another kick in the gut.

The future is a dark and sad place for WWE fans...... Unless Vince kicks the bucket soon and HHH takes over.

I watched the attitude era as a kid and thought it was great....... but as i have gotten older i have to admit if it was like that now and i had kids (which isnt likely that far off) then i have to admit i wouldnt want them watching it. To be honest im not sure my partents were really that happy either - i think if they'd watched it with me it would have been banned.
Now it is what i would better term as 'Family Friendly' - which i think is great. My soon to be wife and i sit down each week and watch WWE and we can enjoy it together and im sure when we have kids i would be happy for them to watch too!
So while im sure it will be an unpopular view I personally am glad WWE decided to bring the product back to the more family friendly attitude of the early 90's.
In fact my one big beef with the WWE was the Womens (Divas) division. I dont think i would have let kids anywhere near it if they were constantly having near adult content like they used too.
Mind you lets have more than just tamina vs kaitlyn each work and have good women wrestlers in there too. BTW why isnt natalya wrestling?

Well this sucks, reason why I'm leaning toward TNA these days. I actually went, "WTF is this crap" after seeing the recap of the Lesnar/HHH brawl in black and white. Have you been watching during the Attitude era? Almost everytime they show recaps of someone getting busted open they would black and white the image when someone is bleeding either RAW or SD. So this is nothing new. They use to do on SD all the time and even on RAW when they showed replays on FOX. At one point when WWE had partnership with MTV in the 80s, they were rated G. This is not a big deal. Most kids these days are just ****ed up so doesn't surprise me the violence is toned and is more kid friendly. Back then shows trash shows like South Park and Jerry Springer were big so WWE had to cater to that audience. These days its all reality and social media. WWE is moving on with times...unlike TNA who are trying too hard to be "Attitude era lite" by forcing blood, cursing and sex appeal. This day and age that crap is not even suitable.
