I'm rewatching Wrestlemania 21 (MITB match in particular), and I can't stop thinking about how much WWE screwed up with Benjamin. The guy was super athletic and a great performer.
I hope he gets another opportunity later on.

Ive always thought he was championship level. I think if used right he could be competitive for the wwe or whc belts...

I love Benjamin but WWE didn't mess up. He just was terrible on the mic. And giving a character like his a mouth piece wouldn't have worked.

Yeah, I can't say WWE screwed up here. Shelton was great in the ring. Not very technical, but could work the WWE style while still being very unique and athletic. His problem was that he had and still has absolutely no charisma and can't talk to save his life. He's better off in the indies where his pure athleticism can get him by instead of needing a strong character to rely on.

As much as I want to put it on the WWE, there were so many points in his WWE run where he just seemed like he didn't care. Maybe he gave up on the WWE after they gave up on him, I'm not sure. But I always thought he had a load of talent, just not on the mic.

Shelton was also apart of the MITB match at Wrestlemania 22. This I think was the best MITB match I've ever seen, even the recent ones can't beat that. And Shelton again showed his agility. Sadly, he was underused by the WWE. Happens a lot to many of the guys in the roster...

I had high hopes for him during this time, that crowd went nuts on both occasions.

He just left RoH. Rumor was it was because he signed with WWE. That was just a rumor.though as far as I know.

WWE screwed up with Shelton Benjamin. He accomplished a lot, but should have been a world champion. It's stupid to blame it on his microphone skills 'cause it's not like any of today's main eventers are that great anyway.

Right before the Royal Rumble he left ROH and was rumored to return in the RR Match. Well it never happened and idk what he's been doing since. I really hope he gets another shot though as he is simply amazing in the ring.

I loved him. One of my faves..when he did that run up the stacked ladder at mania in MITB i was like WOAHH!
i mean now we have kofi and we've had jomo for those sorts of things but he was the first guy I SAW to do that kinda athletic parkour style things and i thought he was amazing.
BRING HIM BACK.

I was just watching this weeks ROH TV and they are hyping Shelton Benjamin v Charlie Haas for their next iPPV on April 5th.
Either this is a one off to close the doors on the WGTT or the start of a long ROH feud between the two.
So it looks like Shelton is back with ROH, so it looks like a possible WWE return will be put on hold for now

I only liked him when he was in the Angle Alliance when they were feuding with Lesnar before WM19. That was probably the only time he really contributed to the WWE.

WWE didn't screw up anything. He was featured regularly in high profile matches, held multiple titles and had a memorable run.
People didn't pay money to see Shelton Benjamin. He was just part of the overall experience. A great ring guy, who really never had a compelling character

I'm a fan of his, obviously moreso to do with his athleticism, and agree wholeheartedly about his lack of personality and charisma.
