Just a quick question....
My dad and I always buy Wrestlemania and watch it together because our favorite wrestler is The Undertaker. But this year he might not be able to watch because he's working real hard with a group of investors to start a new company and may be out of town.
I was wondering if it would be possible for us to buy the PPV and just DVR it and watch it together at a later date?
We just recently got a DVR so I've not had a chance to test out if it is possible to DVR things such as PPV.
If anybody knows if this is possible it would really help us out. We have Verizon Fios, by the way, just in case certain TV providers allow it and others don't.
Thanks.

I have Dish, and I'm able to DVR it, but it only last for I think 30 days?

Absolutely. I don't know whether or not it has an "expiration date" on some cable/satellite providers, but you can record it and keep it as long as you'd like with Time Warner Cable, I know that for a fact. I had Money in the Bank 2011 on my DVR for over a year.

Thanks! That's ok if it disappears after 30 days. If the PPV is good we plan on purchasing the Blu Ray when it comes out also.

I do that, but before a ppv starts it says it's illegal to record, but allow it anyway so idk.

Uh oh. Well....we are going to order it and give it a try. The only reason we aren't waiting for one of the 100000's of replays on PPV that are available to order is just in case something happens that isn't supposed to and WWE edits it out of the replay. The Wrestlemania Blu-Ray, any PPV DVD or Blu-Ray for that matter, is always edited in someway. Either a song is changed, a camera angle is edited, bad language is edited out, crowd chants are sometimes changed, or if something goes wrong WWE may edit it out. We want to get the "live" cut of the PPV.

I had Money in the Bank 2011 on my DVR for over a year. Ha! I still have that same PPV saved in my DVR today. --------- With Time Warner Cable, when I purchase a PPV, it immediately asks me if I'd like to record the program.

I have DirecTV, and if your watching it live, just hit record. If you want to watch it later, select "record and watch later" when purchasing (you have 30 days to watch it, you won't be charged if you never do)

Damn. I wish I had money saved up so I could order the PPV. Lorenzo, two questions: 1. How much are WWE pay-per-views, usually? 2. How old are you?

Yea, I usually record PPV's when I get them, and we re-watch any cool matches or moments later...
Just make sure you have plenty of memory, especially if you're getting the high def feed! 4 Hours of HD take up a lot of space on my box...
I also have an old DVD recorder that I split-feed the cable box into, so I sometimes burn some highlights on a DVD if it's something I really like....

I do that, but before a ppv starts it says it's illegal to record, but allow it anyway so idk. You're allowed to record for personal enjoyment. The disclaimer in the beginning is its illegal to record and sell for profit.
