Well that's the thing, I DO have the old jakks ones but I personally can't stand them in comparison to the mattel one. The jakks ones have those crappy loose ropes and I hate how the mat and skirt is one piece. On top of that it just doesn't look as solid as the esr and feels like it's a going to fold in half when I pick it up...not to mention the leg supports always fall out...yeah I still want a new one. As a big fan of the ESR I have to say. It's a wrestling wring dude. It isn't meant to be picked up.

I like the idea, but I doubt it will happen. Until it does, I reccomend the WM or WM2 Real Scale Ring. Dude those rings cost just as much as the ESR does to be honest. If your even lucky enough to find one in great condition or brand new even. I for one would also LOVE LOVE LOVE seeing a classic ESR with red, white, and blue ropes, blue posts, blue stairs, blue ring apron and old school "WWF" logo turnbuckle pads. Probably will never happen according to Mattel, but I still keep my hopes up that enough ppl will demand it and it gets made. I would suggest to the O.P maybe looking up Naparo's custom ringskirts, as the dude can make you old school custom skirts to fit your ESR, and he even supplies various colors of elastic rope for ring ropes. That option would be a lot cheaper than buying that WM or WM2 ring, but you could even just go to Wal Mart and buy the cloth, rope and everything else ya need and just make your own even cheaper.

My Jakks one will do me fine, I paid enough cash for a Jakks one and I will be dammed before Mattel decides to rob me again with their crazy prices... My Mattel figures will wrestle in my Jakks ring until the thing isn't standing anymore. Wrestling Figure Brand Integration

As someone that's a Legends/Flashbacks only collector....I completely disagree. While Mattel makes great figures, their rings are far inferior to Jakks rings. Im sorry but the Elite Ring is entirely too big especially for the Mattel scale. ON top of that, the fact that IF they do release the ring, we'd never get any sort of accessory like a cage...I would rather just pass on it and keep my Jakks Ring which is beyond perfect and scaled perfectly. I have to agree that the Jakks RSR is where it's at. Such a great ring. That being said I love the spirit of the original thread. I to always wanted interchangable ring gear to be available. I remember suggesting it on wrestling boards asking for this too back in the day. And when Jakks came out with it for the old hardcore ring I was thrilled. Once the amazing RSR was produced I was once again thrilled but felt restrained to either current raw, or classic 80s 90s events. Thats what inspired the vast customized ring gear that I have created to fill that void. It has increased my playing pleasure and expanded my actionfigure universe.

I will be making my own RSR. One that is much more sturdy than a plastic one.
