Very cool man. I definitely get an Our Lady Peace vibe from it and they're one of my favorites so I'm down with it.
We are actually about to finish up our folk/AM country album next month and I'm offering the whole album for free download to anyone here. So keep an eye out for that. I have links to our fb page and such in my sig if you're interested in following the project. I dig what you did. Keep up the good work and can't wait to hear more.

You really need to work on writing lyrics man, no offense. But are you trying to be a serious kinda guy, or just trying to be funny here? If your going for serious than you need some work on lyrics. You do have a decent voice though, work on the lyrics.

Yeah, I'm actually going to counter his thoughts and say I thought the lyrics were fantastic. It definitely feels garage, which only makes it better to listen to the second time around. I like it man. Please let us know when the full album is out and I'll check it out.

Yeah, I saw no problem with the lyrics. If someone can't relate that's one thing but I thought it was good. Here is a little promo we threw together for our upcoming project. You can never have a big enough network with stuff like this! I'll definitely stay tuned to what you're doing.

It's not my style, but at the same time the talent is there and I appreciate the skill and effort it takes to pull it off. Good luck!

Like I told you, I really, really like this song. Don't know how anyone can complain about the lyrics. It reminds me of The Front Bottoms, which is one of my favorite indie punk bands right now. Can't wait to hear more, dude!

I like it man, has a feel to it. Its a pretty chill song. I really like your work, as stated before it does have an indie feel to it which I do enjoy.

We almost have a little too much instrumentation Haha. Jeremiah plays them all on the recordings. I may do the tambourine work and some minor drumming during live shows. That big boom on the drum is achieved with a fierce hit on a bass drum that is mic'd up with an echo effect. The band name is kind of a joke of sorts that we've had going for years. An early band we had years ago had recorded some songs that Jeremiah and I had personally written. Another member created an online account to put them online without our blessing. We had issues with him and parted ways. He tried to say that since he uploaded them that he owned them. Long story short, we hacked the account, deleted the songs and changed the password. To keep him from finding the listing on there we changed the name on there to Manitoba Rock n rolla. We listed ourselves as a Canadian band. The name itself was completely off the top of my head and stemmed from Chris Jericho calling himself the ayatollah of rock in's rolls as well as being from winnepeg-manitoba. So in a split second the name hit me, we altered the account and locked it up. The dude assumed the account glitches and disappeared and never bugged us again. This was 12 yrs ago and we never had any intention to use that name. It was a joke. We formed another band shortly after called Detrymentum and used that for a few years and had a couple of other projects in between. When we finished writing these songs we had no idea what to call it. And since we had laughed about the Manitoba rock n rolls incident many times over the years due to its complete randomness, Jeremiah suggested we use it and I said why not. Lol. Weird story...I know. But there it is. Haha.

I don't really understand what this song is supposed to mean lyrically. Also nothing about this really "stands out" and tells me who you are off the bat. Not trying to be a critic but just an observation.

I'm the first to admit that I'm a music bunghole, but I will NEVER fault someone for chasing a dream. Not my style, but I am sure it will appeal to the large audience that indie music has garnered over the last few years. Keep chasing, bro, and good luck.

Not trying to be a critic but just an observation. i don't really want to completely define what the song is about as others may take something different, but the song basically runs on a theme of human interaction being lost by posessions/technology and how people's priorities are ed by them -we want plastic surgery despite that our true issues are internal. the song is about someone being painly aware of this and craving real human interaction and 'goodness' in the world. thanks for your input.
