Back in 2012 when Mania 29 was announced to be coming to NJ I was stoked since I live in Jersey. Anticipation came as months went by. 3 friends and myself bought our tickets on the pre-sale for section 121. I looked forward to April 7th a lot and of course it's not just about Mania- but the week of events leading up to it.
I went to the Wrestlemania Superstore for the grand opening which was incredible! Met Santino & Scott Stanford... then had Axxess that night and also Saturday night. What an awesome experience. I was going alone from the get go but ended up meeting people from all over the world. Grouped up with some and it just flowed so great. Thursday was relatively quiet. Met Mark Henry, Cesaro, Bo Dallas at Axxess, saw a few guys from a distance and got a handshake from Sin Cara in the walkway. Some great matches took place on the arena floor.
Friday I took a break and looked forward to Saturday which was jam packed- but I made the best of it. I ran to Christian's line and was right there to meet him within 20 minutes. Class act. TRUE class act to the fans. Next I got an AJ autograph while she came out for her break, then met McGillicutty, Ezekiel Jackson & R-Truth, also caught a Cesaro Q & A and a divas match on the arena floor- both were awesome. Sin Cara was leaving his signing and headed to the elevator, I believe I cut him off as it was hard to move around and heard him yelling in spanish as he went into his elevator. lmao. Also bumped into Justin Roberts and got an autograph. Nice guy. Overall, Axxess was incredible if you played your cards right and enjoyed both the signings and matches that took place as well as other activities. I did get yelled at for touching all the WM gear- Jericho's from WM 19, Taker's from WM 15, HBK's WM 12 gear, etc. LOL- It was so surreal to be touching that historic gear but I did get caught. Oh well! No big deal.
I got a bunch of autographs in my Mania 29 program, Basic 13 Zeke signed, Elite 20 Christian signed, an R-Truth promo pic and a few autographs on the Axxess paper they had at the autograph tables. The two days were enough to keep me happy and pumped me up for Mania. Sunday itself was buzzing. Everyone in the area had on WWE shirts... and the Popeyes by Metlife was like a WWE hangout before the show to fill up with some epic food! Haha. Awesome. The actual feeling of walking into Mania- getting into our seats and just looking at the view, the stage... was a childhood dream come true. Great view from our seats. The show ruled... randomly high 5'ing people during Punk/Taker... words just can't describe the atmosphere and all.
Then of course last night was Raw... you all know how awesome that was. Being there.... wow... LOL. That's all I can say. Incredible crowd. That was the icing on the cake to an AWESOME few days. As I write this I look at all the stuff I've gotten- autographs- pics-signed figures... it's settling in now that the Mania festivities have ended... but wow- what an awe inspiring few days I had. So much fun... great memories...
