It's taken me a little while to build up the enthusiasm to review this Randy Orton action figure, even though I've had him for over a month now. The full review is up on my blog, but here's the bullet points... The Right:--Reasonably good job done with the detailing on Orton's trunks and tattoos. I'm regularly impressed with how well Mattel is able to execute fine detailing like this on their 6" figures. --Basic articulation scheme is sufficient for Randy to deliver the Punt to the Head, DDT and RKO. Does Randy have any other moves? Not that I know of. The Wrong:--This is NOT the attire Orton wore at Over the Limit 2012. Good try, Mattel--Don't market a figure as being from a specific show and then not even attempt to match the trunks, please. --In what has to be some of the laziest workmanship I've ever seen, Mattel used the bearded Orton head mold and just left it totally unpainted. This looks really crappy, and it appears that Orton needs to have facial reconstruction surgery or something. --Steep $15.99 price tag. Overall: Basically, I hate this Randy Orton figure. It's not at all what it's advertised to be--an Over the Limit 2012 Orton--and the bumpy unpainted growth on Randy's face looks awful. If I wasn't forced to buy this figure to build Teddy Long, it definitely would not have happened. Not recommended. GRADE: D

I couldn't agree more! The only reason I got it was for Teddy, but the unpainted beard really bothers me! I'm not one to really complain about Mattel, but his face looks like Edward James Olmos.

The issue I had with mine was he has no neck. The figure I got used the shorted neck stem than past Orton's so he's a tad shorter.

i also only got it for the teddy parts and to swap the head onto an elite. pretty bummed they didn't paint his beard. didn't realize he didn't wear that attire at the ppv it's depicted as from being.
couldn't even give it to my godson as he already has an orton (he only really gets figs that i buy for parts and doubles etc.)

Damn he really didn't wear that at OTL, pretty lame. I swapped the head on a blue trunk Orton as I like that head for some reason. If you don't focus in on the beard stubble its actually really good imo.

This figure sucks. Unpainted beard is so lame. I don't think it's too bad, if it didn't have the unpainted beard mold on it'd look better, but from far away enough it's not even noticeable. Plus, the attire that Orton wore at Over the Limit is in the BP with Sheamus and the WHC.
