If WWE can sell 80,000 tickets two nights in a row then they should do it. A half empty stadium on Raw would look bad though.

I hope this is untrue. WWE can't put product quality ahead of $$$ for one night only?

Just because the crowd has been good the night after Mania the past 2 years that doesn't account for the previous 27 years when they were normal haha

I hope this is not true. If you think about it though, holding their flagship show in stadiums regularly is the next logical step to increase ticket sale revenue...

The question isn't whether people are willing to pay for a ticket to Raw the next night, it is whether people are willing to pay for a ticket to Raw the next night AND another night at their hotel AND another day off of work.

I will be traveling 10 hours to Mania next year and if Raw is in the Superdome I will not be going. Sell tickets to the Die hard fans in a 20,000 seat arena and just enjoy the show Vince.
Imagine less than 20,000 in the Superdome would look like on tv

No doubt that money plays a big, big part in this. But I wonder if the domed venue plays a small part too, taking the whole weather issue out of the equation. Some people might not want to gamble on sitting through crappy weather for Raw.
Wouldn't suprise me if they card some kind big Main Event (title unification) for the day after Raw to push some tickets.

How many of those 80,000 would stay for raw though and then it will just be the same ad WrestleMania crowd. I would like a slightly bigger stadium, 25/30 or even 40,000 but there risking not selling out next nights raw and taking it in the opposite direction of what they want.

Worst idea ever. I was at Mania and RAW after this year. The people that were at RAW were the people that actually were excited for Mania and didn't just sit and drink out of their collector cups. Those are the fans that can pay abit more to be entertained and have fun other than just sit and talk to the parent/friend/whatever next to you. And I highly doubt they will fill 80,000 fans for a RAW. Even if its after 'Mania. Let it be around 15-20,000. As simple as that.

Yeah very bad idea to be honest. Takes away from the whole grandeur and spectacle that is Wrestlemania, and the atmosphere's at the next night's Raws are always special. It would really affect Wrestlemania buys and attendances.
