June 28, 1997 WCW house show
I thought I would share this. Its pretty cool to see fan filmed footage from a house show at this time. Especially for me because the same night this was shot WWF was having a house show at the pond which I was at front row! I was told to pick which show I wanted to go to and I chose the WWF show.(huge hart fan!)
Here is the card for the WWF house show
Rockabilly vs Flash Funk Farooq & Kama vs Blackjack Windham & Blackjack Bradshaw Ken Shamrock vs Jim Neidhart Sable won a swimsuit contest also including Sunny, Marlena, and Chyna Owen Hart & Davey Boy Smith vs the Legion of Doom vs the Godwinns Vader vs Goldust Mankind vs Hunter Hearst Helmsley
Undertaker vs Bret Hart vs Steve Austin (Hart's in-ring return from injury after being out 2 months)
Do you have any cool house show footage?

They sure did. I recall attending two WCW house shows at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. They took place in 1993 and 1996. The 1996 show was highlighted in the WCW Magazine. Till this day, I still have the ticket stubs from both shows.

Interesting. I never knew. I just always assumed they didn't run house shows for some reason.

Anyone else find it odd that they used the nitro stuff for the show instead of a generic ring apron?

WCW did a number of house shows at Baltimore Arena. I went in 1991, 1992 and two in 1997. And they had a few more that I can remember being advertised but I didn't go to. They would have autograph signings when tickets would go on sale. They had Flair in 1997, Heenan and Larry Z. in 1997, Page and Kimberly in 1998, Flair in either latter 1990s or early 2000s and Luger and Elizabeth in latter 1990s.

Seems like everytime Hogan was in a WCW ring trash was thrown at him.

The only WCW house show I ever attended was: I went to WWF ones all the time tho. I think the only other WCW event I saw live was a Monday Nitro in 99

Thanks for posting this! I was actually there at that show!! At the forum. What's crazy is that it was the same night of the Holyfield/Tyson rematch (where Tyson bit his ear)....somehow word got out in the crowd, and people were talking about how Mike Tyson bit off Evander Holyfield's ear haha.
Another interesting tidbit about that show was that they had the full Nitro set there and the show was promoted as a Saturday Nitro.

WCW was such a good show at that time.
The people running it deserved to fail in the end though.
