So most people must be thinking that the CM Punk & Vince McMahon Battlepack's attires will be based on their epic match from Raw. But not knowing this for sure, is preventing me and I'd imagine a lot of people from ordering this set. Just wondering if MDT could shed some light on this? It would help a lot. Thanks

Fair comment. But sometimes Mattel use attire's that have no significance to battlepacks and basics.

I'd rather they not use Punk's attire from the match on the figure. It's just the E16 tights with plain kickpads, and honestly, between E11 and E16, we already have two, too smiliar to one another figures of a guy who has an extensive collection of attires to choose from. I'd much rather they go with his Summerslam 2011 attire, his Halloween Punktober tights, or his green and black attire. The latter he actually wore in the contract negotiation segment with Vince prior to MITB 2011, so there's a bit of a tie-in as well. As for Vince, like Lil Jimmy said, Vince hasn't worn anything drastically different in a long time, so, yeah. I doubt they'll make a basic suit mold, let alone re-pack the mail away Vince in a BP, so, yeah.

Mattel tries to be as accurate as possible so why would they just pick a random attire that he didn't wear when he faced Vince? Can't have it both ways when we want accurate hair color and facial hair, etc. |

To be honest if any of the punk attires you just listed end up on the final product i would be happy i like all of them. just want a punk with black kickpads.

I'd actually like to see Punk in his yellow attire.
I know that it wasn't the attire he wore when he faced off with Vince but I think it would be nice seeing as it would give us a Punk with yellow attire and updated tattoos.

He sees them ahead of time through a source - he's trustworthy. --- Since they don't always match the 2-packs up with actual events (Cena wearing camo shorts despite never facing Punk during this time period), I was kinda hoping they'd switch his Chicago flag MITB attire with that similar style SummerSlam one we never got. Still, the MITB attire is his iconic gear, so it makes sense to have another go at. |
