Just wanting to do a little comparison.
1) Are you happy with the pay you make at work?
2) Do you consider $12.50 an hour good pay? Or do you think its minimum wage?

It depends on the job. I've been at my one job for 8 years & make $15.90. I've been at my other job for 19 years & make $40 a day plus tips.

I think pay has a lot to do with the area you live in and how you live. Personally, I wouldn't be able to live off $12.50 an hour with my wife, 3 year old, and baby on the way with 2 car payments and my mortgage. im fortunate enough that I've had some really good paying jobs. We moved out of NJ 6 years ago because together we just weren't making enough to afford something we were comfortable in. She was a teacher and I was a route driver making $22 an hour but NJ's cost of living is very expensive. I just left my last job 2 weeks ago at $25 an our for a new opportunity as an independent contractor. I'm on a commission but it works out to be roughly $33 an hour. As of now, we're able to live very comfortably with money to spare to have a good time.

I make 10.20$ an hour and I work about 40 hours a week so It's not too bad. I still live at home so it's enough for what I need (food/gas/clothes)

Since I am active duty military our pay is based off of time in and rank. My current base pay is 2250 a month, but since I am on a recall status 24 hours a day I make $3.02 an hour. I do have full medical and dental benefits and also get $1900 a month for BAH (basic allowance for housing. Even including my BAH that only bumps me up to a whopping total of $5.58 an hour...
I work 3-6 12 hour days a week for a total of 16 days a month. So if you break it down that way, then I make $21.61 an hour...

1. I'm making more money at this new job than I've ever made in my life AND I'm getting a raise soon.
2. Really depends on the area you live in and what your situation is. A couple years ago I was making $12 an hour and was practically broke. Got so far in debt that I wasn't able to get out of it until last week.

$12 an hour is close to twice the minimum wage. Just pointing out the obvious.
It's all about how you live. If you like like you make $50k when you only make $30k, you're going to have problems. If you live like you make $30k when you make $50k you'll be fine.

It all depends where you live. I used to live in Long Island and my money would not last even when I live with my parents. Now I live in NC have a wife and 2 kids about to buy a house in a couple of months all on one salary. I think I make enough

I know it's jealousy from many that I didnt have to spend my youth in school in order to make good money now.

That's like me saying I make $100k flipping burgers at McD's.
