I think they should. Their is a lot of young talent that could really shine in a format like this. Plus it could be used to push someone to the next level.

I'm sort of torn. I love King of the Ring, but I understand why they did away with it. They felt that the multitude of unannounced matches on the card negatively impacted the buyrate, and perhaps they had the evidence to support that. If that's the case, it's hard to argue, but you'd think there could be steps taken to ensure that the negative effect is minimalized. Perhaps by making the tournament seem fundamentally important, for example.
I think they got it right the last year - the King of the Ring winner gets a title shot. The problem is, you have to have a guy on the cusp that is ready to go and launch into the main event, so it almost makes the winner sort of predictable. (I mean, come on, we all knew Brock was winning in '02).
An idea I've always found interesting, and something I think could be effective, is to hold the tournament spread out across a couple of months. Have it start sometime in late June or early July with a multitude of superstars, and keep working down to two high publicized semi-final matches on the Raw immediately following Money in the Bank.
Then, the finals take place at Summerslam. That gives them a chance to actually build and hype up the final match, and get the most important of the encounters on Pay-Per-View. The winner then goes on to face either the WWE or the World Champion at Night of Champions.

YES, without a single doubt, It was My fav PPV next to the RR! 93 - 95 are My favorites ones. As the OP said, it could make a lot of younger/newer talent shine and I'm all for that!

Yes. The King of the Ring would be a much better way to build up new stars than slapping a secondary "world title" on them and expecting us to care.

I think they should hold the tournament on Raw, hell they have three hours. Then the winner of that gets the title shot at the next ppv.

You have the rumble and 2 mitb's for title shots so introducing KoTR might be too much. However they could do it on NXT and have maybes the semis and final or raw at a ppv with the winner getting a spot on the main roster, could be a good way for new talent to make an impact

Nah. There should be a one-night tournament PPV for the WWE title at some point though, next time it's vacant.
