The Wyatt Family "run" video was one of the better vignettes I have ever seen. BUT, there are a couple problems here.
This character may be too edgy/scary for the current product. Unless they are going to slowly bring him in and start having face superstars join his family OR pretty much make guys like Ryder, Santino "disappear" and give them their release, I honestly do not see the direction of this character. It is just too creepy and realistic to be on the current programing.
And the second problem is the WWE roster at the current moment, is completely saturated with Heel superstars, mainly THE SHIELD. I for one, do not think that these two factions can co-exist in the current roster structure. As someone else said, if the brand split was actually enforced and the Wyatt family took over SmackDown first, then this could easily work but, until then, they better figure out a brilliant way to manipulate the two groups.
Just think about this, unless the Wyatt Family debuts to take out John Cena right away this will be a misfire. Why? Because the Shield already have the Tag and US Titles. Honestly who the hell wants to see Orton/Sheamus/Show or Hell No/Random Face take on another 3 Man Group.
I don't know I like the character and the shear creepiness and fear that comes from it but man, WWE's roster is too thin and has too many heels for this to work properly.
Hopefully I am wrong, but I have a gut feeling that unless this all leads to a Wyatt (Heel) v. Shield (Tweener/Face) showdown at Mania or another big PPV, there is no way this can work.
Thoughts?

I dunno. I think that we're over thinking it. We're going to force ourselves to not enjoy whatever becomes of this stable because it's not going to pan out exactly how we think it could "work". WWE's given me reason to trust them with young stars and Stables so far, so they have my confidence until otherwise happens.

If you've watched NXT at all, there's nothing really all that sinister or dark about them. He cuts creepy promos but they really just come in and three-on-one people and beat the hell out of them. They're heels with a cool gimmick but you're way over-thinking it if you think they're gonna be kidnapping anyone or something like this.

To be honest, I could care less about these guys and I hope the whole angle fails. Sorry, I'm just not a fan.

Have The Shield stay on Raw and The Wyatt Family stay on Smackdown

Purely based on how insanely good this and all the NXT stuff I've seen was, I'm not even worried about what happens to them. A gimmick like this played by a guy like Wyatt basically can't fail. That's how good he is.

They're not too scary or realistic at all - they're one of the least realistic things in WWE. I agree that there aren't all that many things theory can do within the confines of wrestling though, and if it is just group beatdowns... Well yeah, The Shield are already doing that. Between them, the Wyatts and 3MB, it's a little bit lopsided with heel factions. There should maybe be some proper lower-card baby face stables, too. Brodus, Tensai and Khali... The Usos and Gabriel... I dunno. But yeah, with how The Shield are doing, I think it's odd timing to debut the Wyatt family.

What I would do is have The Shield show respect for Bray Wyatt taking Justice into his own hands and leave them alone. Have Bray Wyatt go after the intercontinental title.
Now that I think about it WWE has to many heels period. They got Fandango, Cesaro, Wade Barrett, The Shield, Ryback, Big Show, Dolph Ziggler, Jack Swagger, The Wyatt Family all in the midst of pushes. What faces do they have Randy Orton, John Cena, Sheamus, Tons of Funk, jericho and Alberto. Rarely do any of the faces lose accept jericho and tons of funk. No wonder Cesaro, Barrett, Ryback, and Swagger have been losing a lot. If you are a face you are either top of the card or are a jobber. The heels usually lose to the top faces and beat the jobbers. Its almost impossible to have an entertaining show like this.
I mean TNA has 10-15 guys that if given a title shot could be looked at as a serious chance of a title change. Yet these same guys aren't all on a winning streak. TNA manages to have guys like Kurt Angle and Abyss go years without winning the big one yet are still main eventers. They have these guys still be over even if they lose close to half there matches.

I'm not worried at all. They'll be kept away from the Shield.

Since Wyatt family is a tag team with Bray as their "Manager" I don't see a problem here.

Bray also wrestles. So it's not a tag team with a manager, it's a faction.

For this to work imo, they need to slowly convert face stars into Wyatt's family

Why? Not every faction needs to have people join after the initial debut.

Well when the overlying theme of the character is a cult leader, yeah its logical to have people join you lol

He did. Luke Harper and Eric Rowan (ugh) did. They are his followers.

He did. Luke Harper and Eric Rowan (ugh) did. They are his followers. Yeah i understand that but to the majority of the WWE audience, they dont know that those two were converted followers. So they either need to violently destroy the roster or induct more people to the family

Or they can explain it on the WWE App. Which is most likely what they'll do. The majority of the WWE Universe have a short attention span. A simple "Bray Wyatt took both Harper and Rowan under his wing." or "Harper and Rowan believe in what Wyatt is saying and follow his every word."... BOOM! WWE Universe understand the gimmick enough to accept it. Haha
