Friday Night KOW
June 7
9PM -10PM
Paul Heyman welcomes fans and announces matches
The show started as Paul Heyman made his way to the ring with a handful of boo's and E-C-DUB chants. Paul welcomed and thanked the fans for coming out. He also announced an upcoming tournament for the KOW championship. He was about to announce a Light Heavyweight championship match when Chris Jericho's theme song hit. On the ramp Jericho threatened Heyman to give him the World Championship or else he'd come down to the ring and whoop some ass. Paul said no and that the championship will be decided in a tourney. Jericho ran to the ring and grabbed Heyman's collar. He was about to punch, but he stopped because Kurt Angle's music hit. The place blew! Kurt wasn't included on the card nor was he listed on the kow.com roster page. Kurt ran down to the ring and Jericho backed up into the corner. Kurt grabbed a mic and Heyman seemed to be relived. Kurt proceeded to tell Jericho that it wasn't appropriate to attack the GM without Kurt there to help! Kurt and Jericho started attacking Heyman. Then I see the guy next to me jump the freaking barricade, throw off his shades and hat and run into the ring to save Heyman. It was Daniel Bryan!!!!!!!!!! Daniel was completely clean shaven. He dominated at first, but the 2 on 1 was to much. Daniel soon became tangled in the ropes and was viciously attacked by Jericho and Angle. Meanwhile Heyman rolled out of the ring and grabbed a chair! He ran up behind Kurt and hit him on the back as hard and he could. Kurt fell through the second rope and on to the floor. Jericho quickly turned around and grabbed the chair. He was about to hit Paul with it, but Daniel untangled himself and hit a bulldog Jericho who then rolled out of the ring and onto the floor. Heyman grabbed a mic and announced that the KOW World Championship Tournament was scrapped and that a Triple Threat main event would decided the champion. Kurt Angle vs. Chris Jericho vs. Daniel Bryan!
X Pac vs. Goldust (w. Terri) (3:14)
This match was OK. The match started with a series of holds. X Pac attempted a moonsaut, but Terri pushed on the rope and Pac fell on his privates. Goldust would frequently rake the eyes or even a low blow after Terri distracted the ref. X Pac eventually made a come back but it wasn't enough as Goldust hit the curtain call and won by pinfall.
Trish Interviews Chris Jericho
As Trish appeared on the big screen, the crowd cheered. She attempted to welcome Jericho, but he grabbed the mic and cut a promo. He kept repeating that he was not in cahoots with Angle. He brought something like this up multiple times - "Look, I wanna make it clear I'm not in alliance with Kurt Angle. It was my decision to attack Heyman and Kurt Angle had nothing to do with it." Jericho shoved the microphone back into Trish's hand and pushed her to the side as he stormed out of the interview area.
Light Heavyweight Championship
Billy Kidman vs. Rob Van Dam (7:19)
This was a very fast and high flying contest. RVD started it out with a fierce DDT. RVD tried for rolling thunder, but it was to early in the match and Kidman rolled out of the ring. RVD and Kidman fought close to the steel barricades until an 8 count. Once back into the ring RVD and Kidman were in separate corners of the ring. Kidman who hit an enziguri on RVD, could only seem get a 2 count. Kidman began running the ropes and RVD hit the Van Dominator. RVD only got a 2 count. RVD positioned Kidman for a frog splash, but Kidman rolled out of the way as RVD reached the rop rope. Kidman got up and ran to RVD on the top rope. It looked like a superplex, but RVD kicked Kidman's chest. RVD positioned Kidman for a powerbomb. RVD was about to throw him off the top rope and into the ring, but Kidman countered into a frankenstiener. Kidman quickly ran back up the ropes and tried for a shooting star press. RVD rolled out of the way and Kidman appeared to be hurt. RVD hit rolling thunder on a dazed Kidman for the 1 - 2 - 3
Daniel Bryan attacked
The big screen showed Daniel in his locker room. Suddenly, the lights went out and you could hear a beating going on. The lights came back on and Daniel was put through the glass table in his locker room.
Paul Heyman addresses DB attack
Only a few seconds after the attack we see Paul Heyman march down the ramp and get in the ring. Paul grabs a mic and says that the KOW World Championship match is cancelled until further notice. He said that if Kurt Angle or Jericho is found responsible, they will be fired. Jericho appeared on the big screen and said to Heyman that he did not do it. At first just a glove busted through the ring apron. Slowly, a arm appeared and the glove wrapped around Heyman's neck and stared choking him. Security ran under the ring to find the attacker. The arm quickly went back into the hole on the mat. When security came out from under the ring they announced that they didn't see anyone or anything under the ring. Heyman was taken to the back on a stretcher.
Chris Jericho vs. Kurt Angle
No Disqualification
Our new main event was a good contest. I would have rather seen the DB vs. Y2J vs. Angle match, but this was fine. Jericho started the match off with a chin lock which Angle easily got out off. Angle rolled out of the ring and went under the apron and found a Kendo stick. Kurt dropped the kendo stick after Y2J jumped through the second rope and slammed Angle into the announcer table. The two got on top of the table and Jericho hit a codebreaker which broke the table. The two laid on the ground for a while. Jericho was the first to get up. Angle was still on his knees when Jericho grabbed the kendo stick and started to beat Angle with it. Y2J eventually grabbed a chair and hit Angle in the head multiple times until Angle was seeing stars. Jericho grabbed Angle and threw him back into the ring. Jericho got a 2 count on Kurt, so he got on the top rope and attempted a flying clothesline. Jericho connected onto Angle. Y2J rolled out of the ring and looked under the apron. Instead of finding a weapon, Jericho saw the arm that had attacked Heyman earlier. The arm pulled Y2J underneath the ring and security rushed again to help. The security guards emerged from the ring apron and told the crowd that they couldn't find Jericho or his attacker. The ref made the decision to call the match a draw. The show ended with Security checking the ring and a shocked Kurt Angle sitting on his knees in the ring.
