Perfect ending. Don't ruin it with a sequel-- at least no Joel and ellie.
I want the dlc to be about ish. I wouldn't mind a dlc with ellie and Riley either but the comics already cover that story

I want more Joel and Eliie, they make a perfect duo! Reminds me of Gordon Free and Alyx in a way. Tess and her death didn't make me feel anything, she was a very "likeable" character at all for she, she was just a "oh she's on my side" kinda character. Sam and Henry shocked me very much, I expected them to split ways at the radio tower. Glad the Joel realized from all the crap he's seen that saving humanity isn't really all worth it from what it's become, humanity save Ellie! Lol Nolan North did an amazing job and really provided a creepy feel with David, a very good antagonist overall. I hated Marlene from the start, glad she got taken out. Phew, there you go.

I know that naughty dog has confirmed at least one single player expansion and 2 map packs in the DLC.
I hope the single player expansion is set directly after Joel's daughter is killed. Maybe like a month later. I think it would be neat to have the same exact intro as the full game, but instead of flashing to joel and it saying "20 Years Later", have it flash to him and it say "1 Month Later".
That way they could explain more about what happened between Joel and Tommy, and they could even introduce new characters, such as friends of Joel and Tommy's, or other family members. The only reason i don't see them doing something like that though is it wouldnt involve Ellie much. But on the flip side I think it would be really cool of them to release a Joel single player expansion set in the time frame i just explained, and then later on release an Ellie single player expansion that shows her journey from the last quarantine zone she was in up to the point where she meets Joel.
I doubt any of this happens, just wishful thinking on my end.

what was everyone's favorite and least favorite parts of the campaign?
My favorite was when you woke up as Joel in winter time and looked for Ellie. The whole interrogation scene really reminded me of Liam Neeson in Taken.
Conversely, my least favorite part was the fight with David. They did a real good job with that character and Nolan North did an amazing voice job with him, and I was legitimately freaked out at that part. And for some reason, his fight was the hardest park to me. I could hardly tell where he was, if he was coming up behind me or what. I barely could get behind him, and whenever I would get close, he'd somehow hear me, jump away and slash me with the machete. It was all great in the end of that fight though, when Ellie was just stabbing and slashing him repeatedly in the face with the blade. Awesome part at the end.

It was all great in the end of that fight though, when Ellie was just stabbing and slashing him repeatedly in the face with the blade. Awesome part at the end. It was so subtle and a little thing to catch but the way Ellie was stabbing at his face really conveyed the emotion and panic of their situation. As soon as she got the upper hand and the opportunity to kill, she took it right away. There wasn't this dramatic pause for Ellie to say something deep and meaningful, she just started slashing which showed how dire her situation was. Hopefully that description was coherent lol. MC, I agree with your feelings about Tess' death. She was just a 'whatever' character for me, I didn't really connect with her all that much. The hardest part for me was hunting that deer with Ellie, partially because of my own stupidity. I didn't realize you had to sneak up on the deer until after chasing it for about 5 minutes wondering why the hell it keeps running away from me. What I liked most about the game was that it wasn't the traditional escape/survive the zombie attack game. It was human vs human in the fight to stay alive, you had other packs of people in the same situation fighting for their own survival with the world's resources so scarce everyone is out for themselves. I also liked the inclusion of children (Ellie and Sam), it showed their innocence wanting to help each other whole heartedly while Henry and Joel were a little more reluctant as they've seen more of the evils of the world than the kids have.

Exactly. I felt like at that moment, she truly understood what she had to do to survive the predicament she was in. And she didn't hesitate.

Just finished the campaign last night.
It's very hard to NOT want a sequel or DLC with the original characters after playing a whole game with them and seeing their relationship develop.
I'm looking forward to anything and everything Naughty Dog has to add or offer to this title.

Amazing game, took me over a week to play as I wanted to absorb the journey for as long as possible, and was glad I did. Such an emotionally deep game, one that ticked all the boxes for me with great voice acting, immersive gameplay and stealth.
The winter level trying to get to Ellie was very challenging due to not being able to see anything, even with Joel's 'echolation'. The parts with Bill were interesting, and the scenery on the lake at the cabin resort before David recaptured Ellie was breathtaking.
I've played a few levels of a few other games since I've completed it and they feel ho-hum to me; I can't get this game out of my head, it's that good.
Thanks for making this thread, Chase.

Just finished it this second and wow oh wow. What a game. What an ending. So perfect and glad I bought a PS3 for it.
David scared the crap out of me when trying to fight him, but when Ellie slashed his face in repeatedly I said out loud "holy poop!"
Tess was meh to me, maybe it's because she was so early in the game or maybe I just didn't enjoy her.
Sam/Henry bit was predictable from the sequence before they went to sleep when Ellie was asked why she wasn't scared, knew then it would be an infected/suicide deal.
The music in the game was, for me, the best part of the game. The soundtrack added SO much to the game it is unreal.
DLC, not sure what to hope for. I want so much more haha. Sam/Henry story, Ish story, Joel/Tommy, Ellie/Riley.
Weird to think that the voice for Ellie is the same voice for Gretchen from Recess.

There's going to be 4 and 3 are out now. Just thought I'd let u know since u said u wanted more Ellie/Riley story, because the comics are a prequel to the game and show more about their story. They are becoming kind of hard to find but u can read them digitally for pretty cheap

Great ending, although I wanted just a tad more. Maybe find out if Joel's brothe is still alive or not.
Ellie gets a lot of love and rightfully so, but Joel is a badass.
