Did anyone go to the Wizard World Comic Con this weekend? I went on Saturday. I stayed the whole time and had a blast. Well worth the money. Awesome celebrities and artists who legitimately seemed to enjoy being there and all the figure stands nearly gave me a joygasm. I only ended up buying one figure for myself because they were pretty overpriced but my brother scored big on a lot of Marvel figures.
The funniest part was when we saw a table with three gorgeous women in costumes. We decided to go take a pic with each of them. For $20 each you got a picture and a signed 8 x 10. I went for my picture and was surprised at how up close they got. Usually at these things there's a little space between you and the person, but these girls were pushing their boobs up against me and one was rubbing her leg on my junk. I wasn't complaining but afterward I said to my friend "They seem really comfortable with complete strangers." He goes "Well you know they're pornstars right?" I laughed so hard and realized how much sense it made.
Overall, artists aside, Henry Winkler was easily the nicest celebrity I met. Possibly the nicest person I've ever met in general. He was so appreciative of everyone who came to see him. I got to talk to him for a good few minutes about Arrested Development. I know I'll probably get bashed for this but the lamest one to meet was Stan Lee. Granted he's old and doesn't need to be there but for $80 I was only allowed a picture. I wasn't allowed to fist bump, high five, shake his hand, or talk to him. And we suspect he may have been asleep in the picture.
Sara Underwood was nice too. Even though her helper gave her crap because she thought my GI Joe shirt was a Captain America shirt.
I had such a good time that I went home and got tickets for the big New York Comic Con in October.
