Since he has returned has Mattel stated that we are getting an RVD? I was just wondering if it was announced.

Nothing yet. I'd say wait a couple months before they're even going to announce it. You already know though if they have the chance they're going to make as many different RVDs as possible

Im not sure if anyone really know the details of RVD's contract.
but Mattel can make him as long as he's under one. Which im also not sure how that works. I would assume that if u start production, you can release it even if RVD leaves. Then again, when MDT spoke of doing a flashback Lesnar....they made it sound like the figure has to be released before the wrestlers contract expires.
Which could be a problem if RVD doesn't sign for at least a year. Because he can't sign a legends contract if he leaves. Because he's still an active wrestler that relies on TNA and indy bookings. And from what I hear of legends contracts, you can't be doing all that.
Luckily SDCC is around the corner, and RSC Tom will no doubt ask MDT about RVD during their little interview
**not to mention, MDT can't even start any prelim work on the attire design until they see what RVD wears @ MITB. Which will almost certainly be the attire on whatever first RVD figure releases (assuming there will be one)

Well i wouldnt expect it for a while.. just like fandango.. Matty goes to shows twice a year for scans and attires.. so hopefully within that trip they get the scan.

In all seriousness a Mattel Elite RVD has bolted right up to the top of my hitlist. They will knock it out of the fn park, plus they can produce so so many figures of his due to the fact that he changes attires every match ala Mysterio.
I'm sure that they've already started working on one. And that he will be rushed out just like Lesnar was. If Mattel really busts their ass, who knows maybe we can have one by holiday season.

Technically he hasn't even returned yet and no they have not said they were working on a figure yet. It would probably take about a year anyways.

How crushed are we all gonna be when MDT says RVD is not going to be included in the Mattel line of figures. Watch the price of r3 RVD and mr perfect figures skyrocket!!

With their long production times, I don't see it happening. I thought I had read he was under a 6-month contract, which would make him a free agent by December 2013 - If Mattel started the figure now it probably wouldn't be out until July 2014...
With so many contracted guys still without a first figure (Shield, Big E, Fandango) I don't see them wasting time on someone who most likely will be gone from the company by the time the figure gets released.
This is something I don't like about Mattel... didn't seem to have these problems with JAKKS during their heyday...

I think at SDCC we'll hear "stay tuned" when they are asked about RVD, plus when this board does the ask mattel your questions thread there will be at least 68 posts with "when are you making RVD" questions.

Well, they could start with a FB seeing they already seen those attires. But only time will tell

Even though they haven't stated they are making him we can highly assume that an RVD is defiantly going to be in the works. I'm sure mattel will knock it out out of the park.

Even if they don't make current, We'll get a flashback at some point.

They'll need a new thicker singlet mold for him, probably new shorts, too. He's on some sort of shorter-term deal, so the sooner the better. Hopefully we can get a Lesnar-like approach as a safeguard in case he doesn't sign an extension. Ideally, an ECW FB as an IE and whatever appealing new attire for his standard Elite would suffice. I honestly have zero interest in the Basics just because they'll never nail all the details unless he wears his Iron Man gear or something akin to that.
