According to NoDQ.com, TNA has released Sam Shaw, Christian York, Joey Ryan and Taeler Hendrix. Personally, I don't care, besides Joey Ryan, they all weren't that good. Source: nodq.com/tna/374875990.shtml

I thought all were talented but none were necessary. They weren't getting used at all so they are probably better off being released.

So Gut Check means you win a contract for 6 months and then get released to save room and money for the likes of ex WWE stars like Luke Gallows and Mike Knox would can't draw a dime?? Makes sense to me.
Cause you know, Christian York and Joey Ryan were perfect X-Division style wrestlers who could have had a run with the title. But keeping guys like Gallows, Knox, and Mr. Anderson on your roster is clearly needed.... *rolls eyes*

I'd like someone to explain how releasing talent that were on paid-by-appearance contracts is a cost-cutting measure?

And that's hardly even doing anything.

Couldn't stand Taylor Hendrix or Joey Ryan's gimmick but at least he was talented in the ring.
I'm surprised at releasing Crimson considering it looked like they were gonna push him again.

Joey was the most over guy when he arrived in the company and wasn't utilized right, Hendrix was a talent who was improving and could have been great in the division. The rest make perfect sense, but these two don't.

Now the big sendoff Joey got from PWG just seems weird. I expected his TNA run to last longer that that. TNA is given opportunities to create stars on a monthly basis but can't seem to hold on to any talent that's worth a crap.

Apparently Hendrix asked for her release. If that's true, considering TNA are paid per appearance what would she gain from this?

So... winning Gut check then getting fired - what kind of message does that send? I actually enjoyed York, guy was talented and had a great look. Would have been welcome in the X-Division full-time in my book. Shame he was let go, but he couldn't speak at all. Joey Ryan I really liked his work, he had an original gimmick, and should have been doing more. Shame as well. Now Jessie Godderz - he should go, without a doubt in my mind. Then they could keep someone else. I'm surprised at releasing Crimson considering it looked like they were gonna push him again. Wow Crimson is released? Although he didn't look like he had any signs of a push, he has wrestled once against Joseph Park, and was made to look ridiculous, and had one other match on Xplosion versus Sam Shaw. How is that a push? Plus he just had a figure produced. Wierd tactics by TNA. Glad he has one produced before he left.

Yeah, Angle too, but they never make him the main event anymore... I'd say alot of that has to do with Aces and Eights.

Maybe they released those TNA stars because they heard Matt Striker was released from the WWE. Nothing against Striker, I think he's funny and made a great colour commentator, so my guess is he will appear under a mask in the next 30 days as the newest Aces & Eights member. Cause if you came from the WWE, it must automatically mean you are a main eventer!!
