Am I the only one that was really impressed by Wyatt Family's entrance? This was amazingly done by WWE. Great stuff! Great RAW overall!

I loved the hell out of it. Surprised it was against Kane though.

I thought it was surprisingly good. I think they couldve done without having Bray kneel down next to Kane at the end. I think having him sit there quietly watching and just leave after would have been more effective.

There was nothing about that debut that makes the Wyatt family any different than any other Superstar or group in WWE history that has simply made their debut by attacking somebody.
Their creepy promos with the music, special effects and horror movie style camera cuts are very interesting...but Husky Harris walking to the ring with an electric lantern with a light bulb in it is NOT the same thing. That creepiness is NOT going to translate in front of a live audience because everything about the Wyatt Family promos that gave them "that vibe" was all in the way the video was EDITED. This is NOT going to work in front of a live audience.
I mean, what the hell was so special about this debut? After weeks and weeks and weeks of promos, they showed up and beat down Kane. Big deal. I was not impressed.

I enjoyed it. The fans ruined it by chanting Husky Harris, though.

Yeah, their promos and entrance were GREAT. But there was no point in attacking Kane, it was kind of stupid. Good debut, just wish they did something different.

I just hope Bray gets actual mic time on the show, I think that'll be more effective than anything.
Still loved the debut, though. That entrance was awesome.

I liked the debut, but it wasn't the best in a long time. I thought The Shield had a better, more impactful debut.

Attacking Kane was better than Cena. Cena would have been predictable. Beat down a face to show what you really are but no need to go for the top yet. No need to get buried so fast. Start small

No, but I don't think it needed to be. They came in, looked cool, and took out one of the bigger badasses in the company without going after a title. I'm happy.

What would have impressed me is if WWE had been smart and had them debut on SMACKDOWN. As I said, I don't that it's a good idea to build a group up by using taped promos containing very cool and interesting special effects, music, camera cuts and a horror style theme.....and then when they show up live in person the best you do for them is a lantern with a LIGHT BULB in it. They should have debuted on SMACKDOWN and given an in ring promo that could have had music and special effects and camera cuts edited in for the broadcast. Kind of like what WWE did with Kane when he was the Devils favorite Demon. Due to the editing and special effects, his promos were very creepy and demonic. Watch this and you'll see what I mean:

Sure, they do creepy things, but I think they can accomplish that live with the lights going out and re-positioning themselves like they did with the attack on Kane. To be fair, I think the reason they had to go with the lantern they did was because they couldn't risk an actual flame being blown out accidentally on live TV. I also don't know how bright a real flame would have been.

There are actually electric lanterns with light bulbs that flicker like an actual flame if WWE had decided to get one that cost more than $5.99 from Target, lol. Also, WWE has done inferno matches, torches, and tons of people have huge pyro...I don't think Husky Harris was going to burn the place down, lol. Regardless of the lantern, the debut of the Wyatt Family made no impact. For as much as they were built up, their debut was not groundbreaking. They did nothing earth shattering or unheard of. They gave me NOTHING that I haven't seen a thousand times before. And for as much talk on WWE TV as they got for being different and creepy and scary and disturbing....they were pretty generic to me. This was what I was afraid of, that the VIBE from their vingettes thanks to all of the special effects editing wasn't going to translate to a live crowd without the special effects. And I'm not talking supernatural powers. The music, the camera cuts, the shaky camera work and creepy images popping out at the viewer in the promos...none of that was supernatural, it was just great editing. But they don't have any of that in the live arena. What can they do IN PERSON LIVE that is going to make them appear as creepy as those vingettes did? A lantern with a light bulb and generic beatdowns sure as sh*t ain't gonna get it done.

Personally, I disagree, and for entertainment value I hope you're wrong.
