ah...Scott Bigelow! I used to love this guy. he burst on the national scene in 1987, coming to the WWF. in a bit of hype reminiscent of Randy Savage's debut, all the WWF managers tried to acquire his services, but instead he picked a newcomer to he Federation, Sir Oliver Humperdink. what a sight Bigelow was, nearly 400 lbs, tattoos covering his arms and bald head, and flaming tights. for his size,he was quick and agile, and seemed poised to go places, especially after being in the main event of the 1st Survivor Series and nearly winning the match! but from there, things slacked off, including a quick exit form the Championship Tournament at WrestleMania IV. shortly thereafter,he was gone from the WWF,wrestling briefly in the NWA,then Japan. he returned to the WWF in 1993,where he had a great feud with Bret Hart, who called him the best big man he ever wrestled, before unfortunately ending up the butt of jokes with his feud in 1994 with Doink the Clown,a disasterous stint in the million Dollar Corporation, and then the ultimate in humiliation - losing to retired NFL star L.T. in the main event of WrestleMania XI.however,he quickly rebounded from this, becoming a face, and even being the de facto #2 face in the company while teaming with Diesel for a time ( Shawn Michaels was out with a storyline injury). yet,he would quit shortly thereafter, due to not wanting to deal with the infamous Cliq. he bounced around after that, going to the independents,Japan, ECW ( where he had a really successful stint, winning both singles Titles), and finally WCW,before finishing his career back in the independents.
sadly, Scott "Bam Bam" Bigelow died in 2007,due to drugs. I'll always remember him as possibly the best big man the sport had ever seen. certainly one of the most athletic. but I'll also remember him, much like lex luger,as a guy who had all the skills to be one of the top guys in the business for a long time, but simply fell short.

Never a face for me, looks and excelled as a heel, surprising that he never got his hands on at least an IC title run in 1994. Always wanted to see a Bam Bam Bigelow vs The Undertaker feud around 1993, probably the best big man Taker could have ever tangled with.

He never should have been used as a a face in 1995. Apparently he was promised a big face push in return for jobbing to LT at WM11, but with Diesel as champ and the Kliq controlling things, that kind of push was never going to happen. I thought he could have been a good opponent for Diesel in 95 (better than Mabel!)
He arguably had his best success in ECW
Really good worker for his size and probably was never given the respect he deserved. He could have been a believable IC champion or tag champion, but looking back he probably achieved about as much as he could have.

terminally misused in WWF during the 90s.......should have been a Taker match at WM/Summerslam.LOVED his ECW stuff with Taz and I really enjoyed some of his WCW stuff too.

it has been said above but Bigelow would have been a hell of an opponent for Diesel in 95 during his title reign.

I was at Wrestlemania for the LT match. It's terrible that he had to get into the ring with him, let alone lose. I can't even remember the back story leading into the match and I'm actually an LT fan, despite his bad off the field decisions.

Bigelow vs Razor Ramon could and should have been an excellent IC feud, such a waste man it sure would....Razor & Bam Bam would have been awesome.as a face in Summer 95 he had sweet FA to do.....but as a heel?theres was plenty for him.HBK,Hall,Nash.....maybe managed by Cornette too?

I know that Bam Bam Bigelow had a restaurant in Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania when he retired. Anyone remember the restaurant?

Never heard of his Crusher gimmick until today.
I always liked Bam Bam and was a fan of his work. I know Bret Hart has nothing but the best things to say about him so he must've been doing something right.

Always been a fan of Bam Bam, IMO (and a lot of yours) one of the best big men to ever step into the ring.
