I really need a new phone, I'm 16, jobless and my parents ACT like they don't have enough money for an iPhone... My mom's making me pick a phone from the 'Straight Talk' thing at Wal-Mart. Here's the list of things I need to do on the phone. -Twitter -Skype (Need a front facing camera) -Instagram -Music (Need a 3.5mm headphone jack, like iPhones, and iPods, and other MP3s, and most everything in the world) I've been looking at this one, www.walmart.com/ip/Straight-Talk-Huawei-H881C-Ace-Prepaid-Smartphone/23573712Anyone know if it's any good, and can I do what I need to on it? If not, what phone should I get for less that $200, on this page, www.walmart.com/search/search-ng.do?ic=16_0&Find=Find&search_query=straight+talk&Find=Find&search_constraint=0

You need to get a dumb phone. Until you have a job and you're paying for it yourself you have no business having a smartphone. The fact that you think your parents SHOULD buy an iPhone for you says a lot about why you shouldn't have a smartphone.

You have no idea how much work I do for my parents and you have no idea how much money they make and how frivolous they are with their money.

From the moment you turn 16, which is the age you can get a job, you need to start making your own money to buy things. The only things I LET my mother buy me from my 16th birthday on was food.

It's funny, you guys know NOTHING about me or my family. You don't know how much money my parents make, you don't know what they spend it on, you don't know how hard I work around the house, and you don't know why I don't have a job. But yet, you're making all these judgments about me. I'm asking about the phone, if you're not going to answer my question, get the f*ck out.

The fact that your mom popped you out 16 years ago doesn't entitle you to a single dime of it. They could take every single dollar they earn and use it to fuel a bonfire in their front yard and it wouldn't entitle you to any of it. This is what you don't seem to get.

How about you grow some ing respect for your parents instead of seeing them as cash cows? A lot of kids have to get around with a lot less. If you desperately want a high end phone, tell your parents to give you the money they'd let you spend on a phone and you earn whatever's left to pay yourself. You should've known by now that you don't get things in life for free like that. You work for your stuff. That's how the economy works.

Are you living on the street? No? Then your parents have provided for you. Anything beyond that is just gravy and you're not entitled to anything beyond that.

I have rheumatism and am in a wheelchair rather often because walking is too painful at times. I get medication for it that s me up for three days. I had a job at a desk from age 15. Everyone has a way of earning money.

When I was a little younger than you I had a problem like that. But at 14 I got a job and I bought what I wanted (expensive clothes was my thing). Your best bet is get a job and save to buy what you want. When you work hard for something and earn it, there is no better feeling. Also getting a job as a teenager you make crazy connections with other people and get to meet more girls (in my case). Good luck with your dilemma. Hope it works out.

My grandma used to say there was a great place to go if you're looking for money - work. That's where I'd suggest you start. You're 16. There are all kinds of jobs out there you can do. Especially so in the summer. Anyone in your neighborhood have grass?
