Looking back to 1994, there were a few big names who had career years.
Bret Hart
Bret was a main event talent from 1992 until he left the WWF in 1997. However, I think '94 was the one year that truly was Bret's trademark year. He was at the top of his game and continued having fantastic matches against anybody: Owen, Diesel, and even an aging Bob Backlund. He won the World title on the biggest show of the year, WrestleMania X, in the most famous arena in the world, Madison Square Garden. He held the belt for most of the year and his rivalry with Owen was easily the best feud in wrestling that year. 1994 may have been the best year for the Hitman.
Razor Ramon
When you think about 1994 and the Intercontinental title, the first person that should come to mind is Razor. This was his first full year as a babyface and he was easily one of the most over guys on the roster. Popularity aside, Razor was featured prominently on the big shows and had a great year on PPV. He successfully defended the belt at the Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania, recaptured it at SummerSlam against Diesel, and was the sole survivor on his team at Survivor Series in November. Even though he lost in the finals to Owen, he even had a strong showing at the King of the Ring. Razor may not have been a main eventer at the time, but he carried a mid-card title during a time when that championship had a great deal of prestige. The image of him on top of the ladder holding both Intercontinental titles remains one of the most memorable WrestleMania moments. The Bad Guy was never better than in '94.
Owen Hart
As 1993 came to a close, Owen had begun to inch himself ever so slightly out of Bret's shadow. By the time '94 was over, Owen was arguably the hottest heel in the company. His feud and matches with Bret at WrestleMania and SummerSlam are still highly regarded as classics. He really embraced his role as the bitter, jealous younger brother who never got the respect he deserved. Fans hated him and he was getting more heat than anyone else on the roster. Owen won the King of the Ring tournament in June and began his memorable reign as the "King of Harts." Some of his best work came during the World title match between Bret and Backlund at Survivor Series when he shed some phony tears and put on a classic performance to get his parents to throw in the towel. Owen was one of the most entertaining performers on all levels in 1994.
Who do you think had the best 1994?

Owen Hart
Bret was already WWE Champion, and was still being put into main event matches.
Razor was the IC Champion going into 1994, lost it, but still didn't lose any momentum. He went to the finals of the KOTR tourny and then won back the IC Belt at SummerSlam.
As for Owen though, he went from being a jobber in High Energy in the early part of 93, to turning heel in early 94 and getting a win over Bret at WM 10, winning the KOTR tournament and main eventing SummerSlam 94 with Bret for the WWE Title.
So I gotta go with Owen Hart on this one.

I'd go bret. Both razor n Owen had yet to hit their peak while bret was already up there.

Bret. He was putting on 5* matches every night and was literally "The Man" at the time. I'd argue that 1994 was Bret's prime and peak point. He even states in his book that he felt he should have been pushed over Yoko and Luger in 1993 (which is true) and that he was driven to prove that in 1994.

Bret had the better year out of the three, but that was Owen's break out year.

I'd actually say Diesel. 1994 was the year Diesel was made.
First he has a great showing in the rumble, and is one of the first heels in WWF history to get a huge applause during it. He then goes on to win the IC, Tag AND World titles in 94.

Bret Hart.
1994 was the first year he felt like THE man in the WWF. 1992,he didn't get the Title until late, and even then he was overshadowed a bit ( Razor/Flair vs Savage/Perfect being the advertised main event for Survivor Series 1992,over Bret defending against Shawn). 1993 started great, but then they showed they didn't consider him to be the guy to lead the company by giving the Belt to Hogan in a hot-shot move, then attempting to make Luger into the face of the company.in spite of Bret having the best matches on nearly every card.
in 1994,it felt like Vince finally decided that Bret was the face of his company, giving him the title for most of the year, and letting him go out and have the best matches.toward the end,he wavered a bit and tried the Diesel thing.but almost all of 1994 was Bret Hart's year to be THE man and face of the WWF.

Owen Hart by a mile he ended 1993 with a bang at the Survivor Series. His Heel turn at the Rumble was strong and convincing. His Match with Brett at WM10 was the second best Mania Match of all time ( behind Michaels v Taker at WM 25) he carried a weak KOTR PPV and his SummerSlam 94 Match with Brett was a classic to have that match in a cage with no blood and that many false finishes. Granted two of the matches were with brett. But Brett was already established coming into 1994 as was Razor 1994 was Owens Year By a landslide.

Bret. 94 was maybe his best year when he was really at the pinnacle of his WWF run. 93 he was clearly on his way to the top but by 94 he was so incredibly over and in his prime, it was just an unreal year for my favorite of all time.

Bret had the best year
Razor had the most consistent year
Owen had the most improvement in the year.

Brett and Owen told a great story then by Brett beating Yoko at the end it gave Owen Legitimacy as the next number 1 contender and it culminated into a great fued

To me, 92 through 94 were Bret's marquis years. Around 95, it became clear that Vince didn't have the faith in Bret that he should have and he began to force Nash down everyone's throat while Bret was regulated to high midcard feuds with Jerry Lawler, John Paul Lafitte and Hakushi. 94 is the peak of that run for me because of the 8 month title reign Bret had.

Disagree. Vince was never content with Bret. He was ALWAYS looking for the big muscled freak. That's why he brought Warrior back in 92. That's why he tried to push Luger in 93 and Diesel in 94/95. And although he was even smaller than Bret, that's why he pushed Shawn (which is a result of his obvious broner for Shawn). EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. The fans chose Bret. Bret was essentially his safety net. "Keep Bret relevant and on the upper-mid card while I try to find someone I like better, when they fail I still have Bret".
