I think most of us have seen Triple H appearing on the inaugural Tough Enough. Remember: "Wanna get laid?" Somebody was kind enough to upload the entire first season and I noticed that there was a lot of extra footage.

This clip was left on the editing room floor because I definitely would have remembered Triple H ripping on Goldberg like that.
I just wanted to post this because it was new to me and I thought it would be for others, too. Also, just cool to see the first few seasons of Tough Enough available in their entirety on YouTube.

I think this was posted fairly recently but nothing wrong with seeing it again.
There was legit heat between Goldberg and H from what I remember. I don't know if it stemmed from this or not though.

There has always been a feud between the two going back to the late 90s when aparently they did an event together representing different companies (its in the WrestleCrap book). Aparently words were exchanged and there has been heat ever since.
I wouldn't be surprised if Trips is simply jelouse of Goldberg's quick rise to the top going by this clip. Yeah, Goldberg didn't work long matches and got hurt once in a while (every 3 months is ridiculous given that he remained relatively healthy from 1997 up until he punch out the car window), but he was a big hit with the fans. His character was a killing machine and was supose to end his matches quickly. Both guys had extremly different rises to the top, Goldberg's very quick while Trips waited years, and I wouldn't be surprised if it simply came down to jelousy.
And the injury comment is funny given from 2001-2005 Trips was one of the most often injured guys in the company. From 97-98 he also was constantly battling lower body injuries as well.

I don't think it's jealousy, so much as bitterness. (Maybe one in the same) Trips got most of the heat for the Curtain Call and had to work his ass off to get to where he is while Goldberg was pushed to the top with little experience. Not mark for or hater of either.

I know Goldberg wasn't the best in ring talent but he was still very popular and really came out of no where. I don't think he gets enough credit. Just like warrior he wasn't the best in ring talent and his promos made no sense but he's still one of the biggest and most over wrestlers of alltime.

you know...for all the talk about Triple H's punishment from the "Curtain Call" incident...really,how much did it REALLY hurt him? yes,he lost the opportunity to be king of the Ring in 1996. but by fall 1996,just a few months after it, he was Intercontinental Champion at a time when it still meant a big thing. then he was on to a high-profile feud with Goldust that saw Chyna join his side. then that HUGE program through the summer/early fall that saw him finally win KOTR and his epic feud with Mankind/Dude love/Cactus Jack. then, right after that, DX formed, and he was off an running.
so...yeah,I'm sure it sucked for him at the time the Kingship was taken away from him. but only about a year later he was back where he was supposed to be,and i dare say even in a STRONGER position than if he had won in 1996,with the experience of a major Title reign under his belt, Chyna as his bodyguard to help him get even more over, and a string of high profile PPV matches (most of which he won) leadin up to KOTR 1997. pretty good for being severely punished,in my eyes.

Totally agree w/ what mikey said. In the end it worked out much, much better for Hunter. He wasn't ready in 1996 and even if he won that year I believe Austin would have still recieved his huge push while HHH remained in the midcard. When Bret came back in the fall Austin was the guy he wanted to work w/. I simply don't see Bret coming back and calling out Hunter.
By the spring of 1997 HHH was in a much better position than he was a year before and was ready to win hte KOTR. That and the fact that Shawn seemed to have even more backstage power in 1997 than he did in 1996 so it all worked out well for Hunter.
Just alittle side note I often bash HHH for his backstage politics and the pushes his character has recieved at the expense of other guys but I've enjoyed much of the mans work. I enjoyed watching him as Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Chyna teaming up w/ him was something unique and much different. From 97-01 he was one of the more entertaining guys in the entire wrestling business and worked his butt off to get where he is today.
