Does anybody know what happened to David Otunga? Not that I liked his ring work much, but he was actually an amusing character, IMO. Don't think we've seen him since he did that promo video for The Call. Unless he's just on Saturday Morning Slam or something....

I haven't heard anything about him in awhile. I actually liked his legal gimmick, it could be used way more than just when it's convenient.

He was in The Call, so I assume filming that and now he's just sitting at home. No use for him really.

He's probably wrestling at house shows here and there.Didn't we see him on the stage when Cena was picking who to face at Summerslam? I don't know why but I kind of want him back He's too busy meeting fans

So much potential being WASTED.
Otunga has a lot to offer. He's very charismatic, he is a natural heel. He has the "look" and he has a great heel heat gimmick. He was always solid on the mic and I found him to be quite entertaining. His wrestling ability is average, but that can be learned & improved at any time.
Look at Chris Masters....he was a monster when he debuted, but couldn't wrestle his way out of a paper bag. Fast forward after his suspension and return, he improved 10x over and before his final release was one of the more solid all around workers in the company. He was able to have entertaining matches with anyone.
Otunga could be a big star, but they treated him like a piece of garbage for so long, I don't know how they could save it. Sadly he will end up being the guy who gets to job to Ryback, Bray Wyatt, Big E. or whoever the next "monster heel" they want to get over...and probably get released within 2 years time.

He has been a correspondent for HLN during the Zimmerman murder trial.
I hope he comes back soon and has Big Johnny as his manager.

He's been doing PR work and legal analysis while they've kept him off TV. Not sure what the deal is, you'd think they'd be promoting him more after the movie. Maybe he'll have an overhauled character when he returns instead of being the wimpy lawyer jobber - a role he's great at, but his body makes him look wrong for.

I think they have stuff in store for him, and are protecting him by not having him get jobbed out on TV week in and week out. The company is surely behind him, they use him for a lot of Public appearances, had him in one of there movies, plus his relationship with Jennifer Hudson brings them mainstream media.

I would love to see David Otunga with John Laurinaitis. Be a perfect wrestler and manager team.
