Obviously, Elite 22 Rock comes with the version of the newly designed WWE Championship with generic side plates, but has anyone found decent pictures or heard from Mattel about the version that is going to come with the upcoming Best of Pay Per View John Cena Elite? Will it come with the plates specific to him or just be the identical generic version that comes with Rock? I'd like to skip the Elite 22 Rock since I don't need another of his figures and I plan to pick up that Cena anyway in order to get Paul Heyman. Don't care to buy both unless I have to.

I don't think they will take time to get more side plates for them since so far everyone who has won it has their own. Probably don't have enough money to produce it for every new champion. I would be very cool for them to do it, but they are minor details that some people probably won't even notice.

They won't change the side plates on the belt. It would be such a minute detail that would take a lot of time to produce that it's not even worth it, similarly to why they never put the names of each champion on previous title belts. Plus, if you want to get technical, since the figure is based off Wrestlemania 29, the plates would actually be The Rock's Brahma Bull plates since Cena didn't update the title until the night after.

...talking about the new WWE belt, I do think Mattel has made it too red and bright - if you look at the actual-size belt, the red bits are quite dark/faint (you can hardly tell they are red). I'd have just made that bit that underlines the logo a faint red. Probably being too fussy though, lol.

It might just be me, but it looked like the red dots on Cena's version were TOO big and TOO bright. I don't know about the side plates, but I would like it to have a bigger strap. Seems like mine fell just short of fitting larger superstars easily.
I think E22 Rock is worth getting. The new head scan is great, and they made the body mold almost perfect.

Judging by the photos at SDCC of that Cena figure with the belt, its clearly the same belt. Just like the WWE Spinner that they did last time and re-released it as an accessory to various other figures... Same goes for their WHC and the current classic WWE IC title which first came with that BOPPV Christian, and soon to come with the Elite Wade Barrett. Back on topic, the big logo figure belt Mattel did looks really great!    |

If we'll ever get those sideplates with a special superstar logo it will be a exclusive like Rated R Edge Spinner.

Couldn't they also left it like a blank circle on the side plates removing the wwe logo and just painted on the superstars logos that they have on their belt

If we'll ever get those sideplates with a special superstar logo it will be a exclusive like Rated R Edge Spinner. I'd love to see them do The Rock in the Just Bring It attire with the belt that has the brahma bull sideplates and sell that as an exclusive or something to represent the moment when Rock unveiled the belt in Feb on RAW.. Or maybe the1dean70 can do some superstar sideplate decals for the belt ;-) |

A good question brought up in the SDCC Ask Mattel thread was if Mattel was thinking of making sideplates with a smooth area in the middle. That way they could stamp whatever champion-specific design comes down the line and not have to make new molds for each one.

The details on the belt are just too small to paint the red gems individually. It would take a longer time for mattel to have it done and would make it costly. |

I hope they do to be honest, but probably not, It's good for MOC collectors but not for loose collectors who want to swap the belts to other figures I guess.
