It's an issue of trust, more so than anything. The only trust he violated was his wife's. He has no obligation to the public to be faithful to his wife. That obligation is to his wife. He has no obligation to the public to reveal any indiscretions. Again, it's between he and his wife. I don't agree. He, like Filner here in San Diego and Mark Sanford, is representing a group of people. They are public figures, so everything is fair game in my opinion. Cheating is not acceptable behavior. It shows lack of integrity and I'd want the person governing my city to at least hold themselves to a high moral standard. All of this is part of the problem with politics. We allow them to get away with socially and morally unacceptable behavior, something we would never to in our personal lives and It is part of the cycle of corruption and a lust for power. It only empowers them.

It only empowers them. Filner is completely different than Weiner and Sanford. But who are we to say this person has done something immoral? It's between them and their family. What if people didn't vote for a gay candidate because they felt being gay is immoral? Maybe they feel the black Congressman with a white wife is being immoral? They say the atheist city council member is being immoral. Since everything is fair game should they have to reveal their fetishes? Maybe someone is into S&M and the public wouldn't approve so we need to make sure that we know so we don't vote for that candidate.

Are you trying to make an argument that we, the public, shouldn't take his cheating on his wife into account because we aren't taking anything personal for the other candidates into account?
In an ideal world, that's a fair statement to make. But rather it's our position to know those personal details, or make judgement on those details, it is our right as individual voters to take whatever qualifications we individually look for and then make a decision for whom best fits the bill.
Yes, there are people out there that flat out wouldn't vote for someone because they are gay, or because they are a White Male/Female with a non-white spouse, or just because they are not a white man. But as much as you claim every politican lies, it's only fair to point out everyone votes or judges based on their own criteria.
I don't think Carlos should be skewed over a fire because of past incidents. Nor do I think his ability to do his job is completely based on a private matter. But I do have an issue with lying to the public, about a clearly NOW public matter, and then lying more.
I, however, do not take issue with the name Carlos Danger. Which I can only assume he had a dog named Carlos and lived on Danger St.?

I think a person's actions say something about his character. Granted he never took a vow to be faithful to the general public, but him playing around on his wife says something about his character.

Why is Carlos Danger not someone's ring name yet?

Why is Carlos Danger not someone's ring name yet? I was thinking the same thing. He could have an interview segment called "the Danger Zone".

The situation is hilarious, given his last name. But, really, I was ignorant about what happened and originally thought it was some teenage girl. I was like, "Hmm, that's not good, he's kind of a jerk." But, then I heard the girl was, what, 22? She can make her own choices. Legally, he didn't do anything wrong that I know of. He probably shouldn't risk doing these types of things if he's in a tax-paid public position, but it is really just an issue between him and his wife/family. That being said, I enjoy the puns I've read in headlines. But, really, there are worse things happening in the world.
