Hey guys, as some of you might know ever since after Christmas time I've stopped collecting figs. But after seeing such awesome stuff at SDCC i'm very happy to say that I have "feeling" again. Also RSC has some more reasonable prices on there figs as to last year they were rocket high and ridiculous. I know some of you may not care that I feeling it again, but I also wanted to say if right now you feel like your collecting days may be coming to an end just take a break for a little bit like I have and wait until you catch the feeling again. For the past couple months I felt empty about Mattel figures but right now i'm loving it again and am going to go to TRU later tomorrow.
Now to add to thread, have any of you ever taken a big break and all the sudden one day just suddenly gotten back into it? If so what caused the break and what got you back into it?

Glad to hear you're back. Stopped collecting for 3 years actually, but got back into it in March. When the bug bites, it really bites! There was some awesome, awesome stuff shown at SDCC that means I'll be collecting for a long, long time!

Several. I didn't get any Has bros after IRS and Skinner. I used to get a couple Jakks BCAs every six months, then occasional TTLs. After 2001, I didn't get any wrestling figures until 2007 when I started collecting Micro Aggression. Then a year later I started collecting Build and Brawl, and gradually got back into the full size figures. Only started collecting hardcore in Jan 2010 with Mattel, haven't looked back since.

I stopped when jakks ended bc I didn't think mattel looked that good at first... Wish I wouldn't have done that so I could've gotten all the awesome older elite figures

I haven't picked up anything new in a few months. Just cutting back to the old school guys from the 80s and early 90s. SDCC def. showed me there's some nice stuff on the horizon that I'll be looking for.

I stopped collecting wrestling figures back in 2007 and then got into Elites and just eventually sold them. Seeing Mattel's display when I went to SDCC got me back into Mattel again, but I'm still not planning on collecting again as I love the Bandai figures and also got to save my money and buy me some more clothes since I have a girlfriend.

Glad to hear that you are back my friend!
I am currently on a break right now from hardcore collecting. I had gotten hit by a drunk driver causing me to have 6 cracked disks in my spine, so I cant currently work. I am very limited on the funds so I cant collect some of the new amazing stuff since Elite 19. Luckily my girlfriend buys me figs every now and then to cheer me up and help cure the itch I get.
I feel that itch when I see everyone get these amazing sets, but in a way its good to enjoy and appreciate what I have. I am using this time to make my own custom arenas lately. Anyway, enjoy all the new amazing figs Mattel is releasing! Good to know you got that feeling back! =-)

Hey there, I read your previous post about losing said "feeling" and have to say for quite awhile I lost that feeling for a few years in about 2003 and picked back up in late 2006.
I was sort of lost when WWE switched from Jakks to Mattel but slowly got on the Mattel bandwagon shortly after. It took a lot to switch brands as I was very happy with the Jakks product....that is until I picked up my first Mattel figure and was wondering why it took me so long to make the switch.
Now at the age of 25, I'm happy to report that my passion for figures has grown even strong than what it once was. With the way the figures have been lately and having all these amazing figure being produced, I don't see it stopping anytime soon. It's a very strong passion of mine and I'm very grateful for it. It's my escape from reality and a way for me to keep in touch with my biggest passion which is professional wrestling.

SDCC this year was amazing. Had me put in my first ever preorder so I know I've got the ones I wanted.
